thanks marty and HL...those words have deep meaning to me, just to know you said and feel them are comforting. "we" the town have been using the phrase..."we can either laugh or cry"...i think everyone is out of tears, we all lost so much. its overwhelming to watch your house go under then see it after the water leave, but to know so much of the state was hit...32 ft of water in one city...its amazing...
ppl are getting upset and losing what patience they had, its a long road ahead for most. I listened to the warnings and advice others were giving and got the majority of our things out before the major water hit us. so i try to keep that in mind, that my loss isnt as big as many, but at times i fall into a pity party. I will never forget standing in the 4 ft of water stacking sandbags for 9 hrs, then it just went under. My oldest son stayed up til 2 am trying to help our neighbors, it was like we knew it was a losing battle, but was too hard to just stop and walk away. the water just kept coming...anyways, not sure how long i can be on here as our electrical power isnt in full force so it gets turned off at times.
ohhh am glad your back on here, i came in earlier today and you were "hiding", i wasnt so much for that. thanks for the words martiny!!!! ive missed you!!!
thanks bodhi...its crazy for sure, ive never seen some of the things i have seen in the last week...never wish to again...has to get better...our biggest cities got hit the hardest...sucks!!! good to hear from you
Hiiii to all...just wanted to stop in and say Hi and I miss you all. It's been crazy here and sometimes almost horrible with the flooding, but good news the flood water has gone down for the most part at least around me. Just sending love and hugs!!!!
