RE: Would you ever wear hair extensions, wigs or a toupee?

Isn't my imagination is it? There's always a little old man with grey hair with a red dead rat on his head that looks like it's been slapped on with some butter to hold it in place!

Someone somewhere must feel like not telling him that it looks so bad even his pets are looking at it thinking "is that a dead rat, a dead squirrel or what on his head".

RE: Would you ever wear hair extensions, wigs or a toupee?

They are terrible for sure!

But also the reddish wigs that are not the right size when the rest of their (remaining) hair is grey makes it look like they have a sleeping rat perched on their head.

I have no idea why people think artificial hair pieces look good!

Mind you in a month i will have some length to my hair again as i feel like a shaved war criminal atm after my paint accident.

RE: web cams

I have a webcam.Isn't normally connected but ill connect it up to show anyone if they ask so they can see i am actually the person they expect to be talking to!

Normally it's to show what the cats are doing.

Several people ask for the cat showlaugh

As i have said previously, my cats have a fanclubblushing

RE: Danish (Dude) to run NATO

Please just go get an education and read some history books that are not printed by the children's division of Simon & Schuster.

Insulting people from Europe isn't ever a good idea, especially when you clearly have no respect for themvery mad

Maybe YOU should re read my posts, then address them, then get some facts in place before you try to defend your argument.

I'm not Danish Either, but i seem to be far more informed on weapon's development than you are! I won't tell you why though, it isn't important, but you clearly know very little about Danes nor their contribution to the Second World war.I doubt you know even the slightest fact about NATO, or anything about it? So why is it so funny to make jokes about NATO or Danes?

The Danes ARE one of the world leaders in microwave weapon technology.

And i don't remember even mentioning Alexander Haigdoh

Maybe you just don't realise looking down on other people is insulting?doh

RE: how do you fall in love with a computer monitor....

I know what you mean.I'm sure every language has a similar saying for the same situation.wave

RE: OBAMA Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sensible debate isn't possible on this subject, the sooner it gets to page 50 and dies the betterdoh

RE: how do you fall in love with a computer monitor....

Here is a salutary lesson what can happen on this very website.

One gentleman with a fake profile took a very unhealthy interest in my life, he was clearly studying what i said day to day, thread to thread and then one day he exploded.

The upshot was he mentioned while laughing how much i must be missing my son!

To say this was low is an understatement, but then he made it clear to me that he was clearly studying my posts and concluded "how is it that people like you can have children, when i am not able to have children. That's unfair"

To say people went mad at him is an understatement, and clearly this a heads up for anyone thinking everyone out there is normal!

Needless to say, shortly afterwards the member was deleted from the site after making other abusive comments about the site, and they basically got so fed up with his ranting he had to be deleted.

So, be aware everyone, that not everyone reading your posts is a normal balanced human being, and you don't even need to be a site member to read the content of the forums....anyone can read what you type!

RE: how do you fall in love with a computer monitor....

Kid i agree 100 per cent.

The problem is a mixture between perception of the reader, in comparison to the sincerity of the poster.

If they are both honest, they will be able to meet like minded people, and then hopefully build a future relationship.

I'm really open, and as a result people will get a concept of how my life is....which is quite unhappy and worrying at present!

If someone asks why i'll tell them, but either way i won't furnish them with every last detail in the forums!

RE: Let Go Of Anger In 4 Steps...

Self control is normal in some cultures without the need for venting anger or aggression.

These i have to say are "new age" concept developed for the American psychotherapy industry.

But in short it doesn't matter how you get there, or the difficult journey, it's arriving at the destination that is the most important thing.

Anything that works for you is great, but "venting" just provides an out let for the anger, it doesn't address the core issue.

The key is desensitisation to what makes people angry, and learning the process of not becoming angry in itself.

RE: how do you fall in love with a computer monitor....

I'm always right, about everything (apparently)laugh

My post reflects the reality of the internet, and given that you do not know the other person, or for that matter their motives for even contacting you, you may just possibly walking into contact with someone with shall we say a dysfunctional personality.

Sadly, all too often i speak to people who go through the scenario i mentioned above, and then for example feel so embarrassed they give up with say a particular website, and make the same mistake somewhere else.professor

RE: how do you fall in love with a computer monitor....

Think of someone contacting you via this site ot the forums as someone knocking on your front door, and leaving a letter.

It's much the same, it's just an introduction.

From there it's a matter for the two people concerned to develop a relationship by the means available. So you might use the telephone, skype, msn etc but ultimately if you have never met you might find in the real world you might not see eye to eye with someone, or say be unable to cope with the other persons personal habbits (like say only washing once a week).

The internet is just one big goldfish bowl, you can stare in, observe things, but in reality you have no idea if people are real, genuine or sincere until you spend time with them in the real world.

All too often i have seen people here and elsewhere profess undying love for someone, without even meeting them, only for perhaps for something to happen and then a bitter fight or a grudge to be played out on a forum.

Normally one person "wants to tell everyone" their side of the story, whereas the other wants to just forget it and move on.

But and i say this very clearly, that you might well think someone is nice, they may behave nice, but behind that screen somewhere might be a very angry person, with mental health problems.

So to everyone i say the following; have fun, make friends, but be careful when people press you for very personal information, as when they "fall out with you" you may well have the thoughts and feelings you talked about with someone thrown into the forums, or a chat room because it may make a aggrieved person feel better.

This is a recipe for making sure the person you intend to meet or meet for a while is actually "sane", well balanced and then you can develope a normal relationship away from the website, where some want to play out their lives for their own reasons.

Good luck to everyonedetective

RE: Drone Strikes in Pakistan .This must be stopped

Oh i know exactly the equipment for Halo jumpsrolling on the floor laughing

The Socom kit the others probably wont know about, so i'll add a link so they can see what it is!

Here's the basic tactical kit!

RE: Drone Strikes in Pakistan .This must be stopped

Tom as you said we both know there is a larger problem to deal with, and i believe America will never ever address the core problem till the Economic interest they have in the middle east comes to an end. This regime and the one after it will do nothing until the energy supply is virtually exhausted.

When that happens they will be out of a region faster than a bullet from an Accuracy International Sniper rifle.

Till then we shall be faced with political stalling, maintaining a military presence and justifying Capability and maintaining "full spectrum dominance".

Others won't understand those words, you will....and the cost to the American Taxpayer to maintain and justify this capability needs an enemy, any enemy to justify it's levels of spending.

RE: Drone Strikes in Pakistan .This must be stopped

RE: Danish (Dude) to run NATO

Maybe you should read a little more military history.

I said American Intelligence Community.

I'll help you along and you can read up on "sacred cows" within the intelligence community".

Google Allen Dullesdoh

Here's a link for you to read something on this gentleman.

RE: Danish (Dude) to run NATO

As you are aware of aircraft, you'll be aware how long a project takes to deliver from drawing board to deployment.

I'm referring to microwave weaponry.

RE: What are the things that you admire from the Lord Jesus Christ?

I understand your thoughts on the matter, but it concerns me more that some of these people can easily be manipulated because of their religious convictions.

It is that and the repeated misuse of religious texts to excuse or reinforce public opinion to gain public support if you will on a fools errand.

That is why i believe religious freedom should be allowed under the constitution, but in no way should it be allowed to permeate political circles, and certainly not education or government policy.

Government for the people by the people for all the people is what should be happening, not some parties having a disproportionate voice over other people.

Religion is used far to much to beat other people up, both on websites, in education and government.I strongly believe if this things were basically banned by legislation people would evolve to be less dogmatic and less aggressive where religion was concerned.

After all, religion is between the individual and their chosen God? What do you think?

RE: What are the things that you admire from the Lord Jesus Christ?

I never see anything like debate though, or anything positive, all i ever see is people basically fighting over religion!

It's not conducive or healthy in any relationship.some see it as antagonistic and parties from different faiths always end up arguing, and then permanently quoting passages of their respective religion.

Do you see what i am trying to get at? I'm all for religious conviction in private, but to be honest there are way too many of you too easily manipulated as soon as anyone starts quoting the "true word" in political circles.

This deeply concerns me.

RE: Drone Strikes in Pakistan .This must be stopped

Well if they attack Iran, much the same as if they were to say tun on say the British then you can be absolutely sure that you will see places of strategic importance vaporise.

Then what,limited nuclear exchange?

The mentality is insane and they need to kick the Hawks out and let balanced people run their government, nor paranoid twisted people who believe there's "reds under the bed" everywhere.

Anyone with a religion other than Far Right Christian or fundamentalist Jew does not and will not have a disproportionate voice within government or political circles.

The time for insanity is over, time for a new beginning and not find "new enemies" to permanently portray to maintain defence spending and defence budgets.

In 200 years everyone will be speaking Chinese, so adult like adults, and behave ad the world will be a better place!

RE: Drone Strikes in Pakistan .This must be stopped

Hugz, you watch what will happen should the United States perform military action on Iran.

Iran for instance has an excellent intelligence and foreign capability which will make anything like Al Quaeda ever performed look like a fire cracker going off on Halloween.

You will see a well orchestrated highly trained highly motivated professional group of army officers conducting operations inside America's borders, with the ability and equipment to do whatever they want.

The sooner Everyone is calm and sensible the better.

In the meantime don't trust a single politician, and help those around you as that is all you can do in this world.

RE: Drone Strikes in Pakistan .This must be stopped

American foriegn policy has been somewhat skewed for some time.
This isn't the fault of the American citizen, it's not even the fault of the Military branches.

The responsibility falls directly at the feet of the politicians.

Make no mistake, if they just said US Marines, you are now at the disposal of the Pakistani Security Services and will conduct combat missions on there behalf as from next month then you would see improvement immediately.

Likewise Using specialised units to train and "advise" native forces to perform anti terrorist duties.

Military doctrine to "win a war" is feet on the ground, winning the hearts and minds of the locals and justice being seen to be done with units who act in a sloppy amateur manner (and i've seen it myself) where locals see incompetents held responsible for their actions.

In other words, if you shoot civilians in front of TV camera's and then cheer on TV and "Hell yeah, let's do that again" then those should be frankly be hanged. Some personnel are frankly unfit to wear their uniform and as such are a disgrace to their country, their military and humanity.

You'll soon get military personnel to think before they open fire after that, and training in different countries is completely different, and the mentality of the troops and leadership.

As for the dynamic behind closed doors if you have the capability to deploy long range weapons you will be invited closer in the family of nations. This means more funding, larger loans and more financial bargaining power in political circles.

So that is why people develop the "bomb" not for defence, but for economic aid and bargaining power.Anyone honest within the defence industry will tell you this is the case.

RE: Drone Strikes in Pakistan .This must be stopped

I absolutely agree Tom re the weaponry. The predator is not equiped to flatten a village, nor are there enough in theatre to be flying all over the area scanning for targets.

A six string of say 6 x 500lbs bombs would be far more effective for a village for unhardened buildings.

The blastwave of a pair of 2 x 2000lbs (paveway type) bombs will level a village and effectively flatten everything in it.

This isn't surgical though, but if you had a target like a training camp with tents all lined out i would do the six string myself with a dose of cluster bombs on their escape route to completely obliterate the combatants.

Other people wont know what a "paveway" is, i suppose so here's a link

RE: Danish (Dude) to run NATO

You won't know anything about this but Denmark is one of the world leaders in a certain type of weaponry!

Personally i think your post is insulting to Danes, especially given their role in the Second War.

Two shall we say pivotal figures from the Intelligence community served there who became sacred cows within the American Intelligence community, but then i doubt you would know anything about either of these two things.

If this is a joke it's bad taste!

RE: Groups - a new category on CS

Official Cliques! I'll be in the robbed/conned/being sued/had kid whisked away to another country room.

I'll also join the nearly snuffed it, and psychology room, and any one where there theres people wit fluffy pets

laugh

RE: Drone Strikes in Pakistan .This must be stopped

Well i dont see them rushing to get rid of robert Mugabe. There's one candidate if ever i saw one who needed removing from power.

The example of human rights, freedom, democracy are terms that are used to just provide excuses for military action.

Look what happened in Somalia, i am surprised someone from the Rangers hasn't shot Clinton after he got them pulled out without them achieving their mission.

Disrespected the men, didn't achieve their mission, and for what, for public opinion and ratings on TV, but they soon wanted to get back in when oil was discovered.

Their motives at the top are totally corrupt.

RE: Groups - a new category on CS

Only a few groups are required.

Mad.

Sane.

Not Sure.

Chemically sedated, i'll let you know when i come around.

RE: Drone Strikes in Pakistan .This must be stopped

The answer is dishonest leadership, poor communication and probably piss poor intelligence.

The logic applied to some geopolitical problems is a joke, and as you said Hugz way to many people are to stupid and can be lead around by the nose without thinking or questioning anything.

They basically repeat what others (elected officials) tell them to think on television.

It's standard psychological warfare brought apon the populace, and the moronic public will believe anyhing if their kept frightened enough.

Thus the war on terror.......and it's almost ironic people are moaning about Afghanistan, the Al Quaeda and even in some instances the Pakistani Intelligence Service.

Clearly anyone who doesn't know they are all set up and funded by United States government in various clandestine states is shall we say uninformed.I am not uninformed!!!

So please people, inform yourselves instead of thinking anyone in Pakistan or Afghanistan is a terrorist or a terrorist sympathiser!

As you said previously Hugz, if terrorists were the United States Government's main concern, 1st port of call would have been Saudi Arabia wouldn't it...as i didn't see any Iraqis attacking the United States during 9/11.

Completely dishonest skewed logic and hidden agendas, makes me sick to my stomach

RE: First date etiquette...

Depends on whether it's early or late!

I don't discriminate on the liquid, just as long as i get people to spit their drink out laughing.grin
