RE: Do you think some people monopolise the threads to much?

lol...I still havent made Hugz actually spit any wine out, but i have come close and made her choke and have trouble with what she was eatinglaugh

It's another case of internet bonkers world where people can completely misunderstand something even when it is simple!

Threatening someone to be sick...has to be a new one, i wonder if that's possible in a forum.

Maybe i should put a comment under every post i make.

(Don't be offended, unless your from planet bonkers wonkers world)

RE: Do you think some people monopolise the threads to much?

Yeah, his misunderstood a long running joke on here.

I've had people spit their drink out at my posts, and alsorts of responses from feeling sick to bursting out in laughter and even one admission that i nearly made someone pee.

This is the only person who i ever heard of that feels threatened by themselves being sick!

Either that or they have something wrong with them, just ignore him!

RE: Do you think some people monopolise the threads to much?

The more people that are in here the more chance me finding someone with a mainecoon or a pallas cat!

I'm not stupid, i have a plan....not some sick twisted agenda...oh no, i want to find someone with kittenslaugh

And talking of beats Fuzz wants attention and probably a snack, so best see what he wants as its hard to type with a cat burrowing under my right arm!cats meow

RE: Do you think some people monopolise the threads to much?

Encourage other to join in, i try my damndest to do the same but they see it and some are put off.

The forums are for everyone, don't let anyone try to put you off and please try to get them to join in, the more the merrier.

RE: Do you think some people monopolise the threads to much?

It's only the ongoing grudges that are the problem, everything else is all fine............even word associationlaugh

RE: Do you think some people monopolise the threads to much?

If we didn't post to gee things up there wouldn't be anyhing to look at!

That's why we read the forums, to look at something!

Hell, it's entertainment so i encourage anyone to post anything it's bound to start a discussion about something!

Other than religion...........oh god that bores me to tearslaugh

Here's a thread idea;

nope its gone, senile dementia kicked in.....i remember,,,nope its gone againgrin

RE: Hunter & Prey Instinct

I'm very passive when it comes to people in real life.

I appreciate peace and quiet and space and am respectful of customs so i tend to look at things and people and learn what i can.

I've only ever asked about 4 people out in my life, the rest of the people i make friends with gradually and i go from there.

So given that i almost never start a conversation on msn/yahoo or skype without prompting you will be waiting forever unless you just say hello to me!

I exlplained this to someone a few days ago....i assume they are talking o someone else and i don't want to interrupt a conversation so i rarely, and i do mean really rarely message people i know to just chat.

If there's a reason, like a problem then i just speak on the phone or send mail.

Mind you if i see you have say a picture of say a fluffy dog or a cat then i might just send a message!!!!rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Do you think some people monopolise the threads to much?

Gingers rule! My cats have a fan club on this sitelaugh

RE: Fox News

Conspiracy theorists claim the twin towers were brought down by explosives, and the planes were remote piloted into the towers!

Doesn't make it true, but it is very strange how we saw the buildings collapse, and damage elsewhere like the Pentagon where testimony doesn't quite fit the evidence people see.

In short some people will believe anything.

Especially easy to steer people when they are frightened, and most worryingly it is the best time to introduce laws removing your rights on the basis it is for your own good under the auspices of "The War Against Terrorism".

It's basically straight forward psychological warfare, and ive studied it for nearly two decades!

RE: Fox News

It varied as i remember, but i watched the Micheal Moore film the other day so that was the first example that sprang to mind!

They called it for Gore, then someone on the news desk said Bush then everyone jumped sides and the votes werent even in!

That's pollsters for you.

RE: Fox News

The very first time i read USA Today i was truly shocked.I thought what on earth is this rubbish, it's not a newspaper as far as i could tell.

By reading it anyone would think international news outside the states was minuscule, so it's no wonder people are uninformed if they just read that newspaper.

Compare say the London Times/Sunday Times to the USA today and you'll know what i mean.

It's like comparing the Washington Post to that joke paper where Elvis is on the moon with a red london bus having lunch with Lord Lucan.

Whats it called, the Enquirer?

RE: Fox News

Do you realise the BBC has people from the Intelligence Business working for it?

This sometimes explains a lot in lots of newspapers and the media, so cast your net wide to get your news!

RE: Do you think some people monopolise the threads to much?

Sometimes like a rhino's backsidelaugh

RE: Do you think some people monopolise the threads to much?

I post on anything, sometimes a lot, sometimes when its shall we say dull as watching paint dry very little.

I encourage others to post as much as they want, that way it's more entertaining!

New people, bombard us with threads and comments!

RE: Fox News

I don't think we'll ever know the truth to this part of Modern American History.

Disenfranchising thousands of voters though has certainly added ammunition to anyones argument about democracy and validity of election rigging as happens in other parts of the globe.

RE: Fox News

It's funny but people the world over listen to the BBC World Service as a source of information in shall we say regions or countries with very controlled state media.

It was almost defacto listening in parts of Africa and behind the former Iron Curtain.cheers

Ironically editorial control of al Jazeera (UK) is very good and loads of good journalists are flocking there from the BBC and other companies.
You'll definitely see stuff on there you definitely wont be seeing on any of the American networks or the British ones for that matter.

I'd recommend people take a nose at it and it might surprise you if you think it will be "slanted".

The times (online) is a very credible and the journalism is first class, and as my cousin is an editor of a newspaper i appreciate the quality agnd graft that goes into quality investigative journalism and not just being part of the "whitehouse news pool" where your told when to turn up, get allowed to as questions on the basis of who you work for. Then if you find your press pass cancelled you can be sure your editorial line wasn't appreciated.

Another cousin of mine was the deputy editor for the largest newspaper in Australia.

And i worked in publishing, with people like Viacom, Random House,Bloomsbury so you could say i am say familiar with the media!!

RE: Fox News

Glad to see i wasn't the only one who thought this!

The argument or idea cant be proved with a simple link.

RE: Would you emigrate elsewhere, if so where?

People were surprised how beautiful it was when they visited for the last world cup.

I was amazed they were surprised as its lovely! And i love mountains, i'm a very mountainy person, i like the views, the clean air and the peace and quiet!

Love skiing but cant find anyone mad enough to go with me!

RE: what did you do during the blackout?

You can get arrested for looking at women through their windows, be carefullaugh

RE: Who matches who on this site?

Me too! i'll be moving near you when i get there, near the seafront not far from the bus station!!!! If there's accomodation there when i can leave here!!

I must admit it's very frustrating being here when i'd rather be there looking at the sea today and walking along the seafront, or pating the cats that are i the green bit near the bus garage!

RE: Who matches who on this site?

That's very kind of you. When you flesh out your plan, email me on the site...ill send you my msn/skype and well ive your plan some legs!

We can even drag the CS members along to all say hello as a local meeting at the same time! Multiple birds with one stone!

RE: Who matches who on this site?

thumbs up

Come on someone didn't do it for you?

some people don't deligate anything these days.Next you'll be telling us you can brush your own teeth and can wipe your own ar**.laugh

Remember delegation means employment, but that still doesnt mean i want a job wiping someone butt for £6 an hourcheers

RE: Who matches who on this site?

Exactly, nothing ventured, nothing gained!

cheers

RE: Who matches who on this site?

Peoples expectations clearly vary! To me it's a website where i say hello and pas the time when am not doing anything else!

For instance, when i am in Malta you won't ever see me on the forums, i'll be spending my time doing something else.

I see this a a website, and i have met some interesting people through the site some who i call friends now.

Statistically some people will meet on here and other places as well, but the majority of relationships are founded in the real world.

Think of this site is the opportunity to say hello at a party, and then after the party you follow up your interst in someone you spoke to briefly at the party!

So think of this as the "Hi" and then make your efforts to meet someone on the site if you so called inclined to do so!

RE: Who matches who on this site?

I did, it was posted to all, it's a forum and i would expect others to voice their opinion, if they have one.

That is the point of a thread, so everyone chips in!

RE: Fox News

Oh i'm not upset, but clearly he want's something in a link where the source material cant be provided.

It would require almost a book to provide such evidence, and for what, just for the attitude above to say.....prove it....it's a terrible waste of time.

Far more useful to say expand on a theory or the ideas of a mainstream media outlet, rather than ask for a specific link which to be honest will prove nothing.

It's just called being pedantic.

Far better and more interesting to say discuss Alex Jones, or say Daniel Pipes or for that matter anything productive.

The main point being productive, rather than seeing a list of my quotes asking me to prove it prove it prove it.

That's facile and not even interesting!

RE: A WOMAN´S GOT´A DO, WHAT A WOMAN GOT´A DO ????

Picture Hilary Clinton and Margaret Thatcher. Not attractive....scary rolling on the floor laughing

RE: A sincere question to those who don't believe the Bible is God's Word

You know how it works, generalise enough and use prosaic language and dont be specific and yo can make almost anything fit.

After all look at Edgar Cayce and Nostrodamus......if you post the goaposts wide enough you can prove anything.

To prove my point look at this link, 100 prophecies fulfilled!!!

The main thing to remember of course just because it's on the internet doesnt make it true........obviously.

RE: Who matches who on this site?

Does it bother you?

Is it important?

Does this website have any baring on your life other than coming in here to talk to people and chat?

These are the real questions you should be worrying about.

If anyone puts all their faith in a website delivering them the life they dream of then they maybe waiting forever, obviously.

Statistically some people will click, as it's the law of averages!!

RE: A sincere question to those who don't believe the Bible is God's Word

The short answer is publishing.

It's now an industry, but that in now way proves anything.

Hell i should know i worked in the industry.laugh
