Time doesn't exist, it's a delusion created by the mind. Being trapped in the mind is to live almost exclusively in past or present...through memory and anticipation. Have you ever thought of something outside the now,in the past or future? No it's not possible, you can only think in the now, there is only ever the now. Reliving a memory or anticipating the future can only be done in the now, this very moment is all you have.
Indeed...the mind is an instrument, a tool for us to use and when we've finished we should put it down. Of course we have to understand who 'us' is. Are we our consciousness, our mind or our being...and who is in control?
