RE: Best Years in Music

Sadly not in person, we arrange to meet whilst she was in the uk but logistics made it difficult. She's half a world away now, but maybe one day.

Lanterns on the Lake.

The lead singer is a very close relative to a regular member on here.

Srange reasons for being delayed on your way to work.

You look confused Rohaan.

Scroll down the page for view of John Lennon's tooth...not a pretty sight btw...grin

Srange reasons for being delayed on your way to work.

Yes, shortly followed by..."I've got a feeling filling."

Srange reasons for being delayed on your way to work.

Like I said, it was a dentist who bought it, he says he'll put it on display in his surgery, so maybe he sees it as a good bit of exposure for his practice.

dunno

Srange reasons for being delayed on your way to work.

It was eventually bought online by a dentist in Canada...laugh

Srange reasons for being delayed on your way to work.

I struggled to get into work today.
There was traffic congestion around where I work and when I arrived the car park was completely full.

Turned out one of John Lennons teeth was being auctioned off in the unit next to ours!!!...doh

Anyone got any excuses better than that one?...laugh

btw, it fetched £19500...shock

RE: Best Years in Music

They are really very good, lots of their stuff on youtube, here they are in quieter surroundings...grin

RE: Best Years in Music

Lets even things up a bit here...this band is as good as any from the 60' 70's 80' or 90's in my, or many other peoples opinion.

RE: What made you smile or laugh today "2" old one full

Well that made me smile...I'd forgotten about that.

RE: What made you smile or laugh today "2" old one full

Although I find a patronising attitude quite nauseating, when mixed with a bit of ironic double standards...makes me smile.

CS is often good for that... thumbs up

And there certainly is a humourous aspect to it...if only for the irony...laugh

RE: What Is A Rich Tea Biscuit

Oh and btw, if you were really really pleased we might say we were, "chuffed to little mint balls."

laugh

RE: What Is A Rich Tea Biscuit

Not quite ecstatic....more like being pleased, unless you were proper chuffed or chuffed to bits...then you'd be really pleased....laugh

RE: What Is A Rich Tea Biscuit

More often the term used is "chuffed to bits."

Chuffed - You would be chuffed to bits if you were really pleased about something.

"Proper chuffed" is more of a northern term.

grin

RE: What Is A Rich Tea Biscuit

I will with pleasure if you send me a mailing address.

Andi (my son who is really the hounds owner) did the puzzle this morning when he came into work, don't think I was logged in though. He was proper chuffed with it...grin

RE: What Is A Rich Tea Biscuit

Hi Monte, McVitie's Rich Tea biscuits are made just down the road from me, in fact we call a southerly wind a 'biscuit wind' because of the lovely aromas wafting into Stockport from the McVitie's factory...laugh

RE: Irish Forums Very Lively and Friendly NICE!!!

From my occasional observations of the uk forums the OP has quite a history of being involved in fights and fall outs on there.
To come on here and slag off the uk forums in this way is imo...just wrong, and perhaps a touch of sour grapes...thumbs down
