Still, if this is the forums, it's back to the blogs and the every-other-blog gusts of flatulence.

Like here? the most recent comment takes that blog to the top. If you look now you will see Toots and I have been pushing like Trojans and the ranty blogs have moved well down the first screen.

It's all a bit King Canute but every now and then there's a little rush of blogs, all sparking each other off, and for a few minutes it is almost like old times.

Then on comes a blog with a fat **cowsplatt** of fake news and the pointless arguments start again.

We lost a lot of the best on the blogs too. People don't log in to fight. Instead, they don't log on.

It isn't a million miles from the scammers who write to us all wanting us to move straight to email. The more someone wants details from me before we meet, the faster I back away. Guess I have trust issues too!

I think you're making too much of it but bottom line, that matters to you, he can't see your point, it isn't a good start, you're not in sync.

I'll meet anyone, male, female, younger, older, for coffee if it is close by and convenient, without any expectation of anything coming of it.

(Anything that would require effort or distance, I would want to skype first, or yup, at the very least phone.)

No way I give my phone number to anyone remotely dodgy before I meet them. We're meeting at a specific place, fine, that place will have a phone number. If I'm delayed, I'll phone the venue, and expect the same from him. That way if he doesn't show up I can ask if anyone left a message for me before I give up and leave. It's only about 20 years that we've even had mobile phones, remember.

Accusations are ugly and most people can't think how to respond because anything they say sounds defensive. Every now and then it's a good thing to defend otherwise others think hey, I could be nasty, that looks fun, and a bully culture takes over.

See, that's why I like a LDR with fairly frequent weeks together. When you are together, you're on holiday (that's always good in itself) and you're aware that it is only a few days, your focus is each other and the holiday and chilling (and heating, and chilling, and heating )
