Chavez is nationalizing about everything in Venezula, Obama's only nationalized the financial institutions and car companies...give him time...I'm sure there's more stuff he wants to run.
What you may not realize is that certain legislation is given "pretty" names to make it sound good. The fairness doctrine is an attempt to silence free speech.
If they attempt to pass it...there will be rioting in the streets. Or.......Rush will cut loose the viewers and have them call the presidential switchboard. It would shut down the white house communications system.
He could have gave targetted tax cuts/credits and really stimulated the economy. Rebates for small cars. Tax credits for purchasing homes...etc. We're getting no bang for this "buck". It's all going to his voter base.
Just cuz you guys do it doesn't make it right. No more than us doing it. It's time to "settle up". It should have happened during the Bush administration.
Either pay up or cut costs...that's the nub of it.
Virtually all spending projections are lower than what they actually end up being. Case in point, SS, Medicaid and so many other cost over-runs; defense, etc.
