RE: Explain - Baggage?

Okay, thought about this for a couple of days. Now this is what it is to me.

Baggage is issues that people have that stop them from being able to or getting in their way of functioning in the here and now in a way that inhibits their full potential. The source of these issues could be anywhere, parents, siblings, ex's....past lives even. Only when we are not aware of our own personal baggage does this actually cause a problem, but awareness gives us the control to stay in the here and now and the power to step around it. I would say that not all baggage is bad and not all is good. Just what we do with it that matters.

Ah yeah....never thought about that. Been a long time since I had to battle with dial-up.

laugh And I have the solution for you! Why not write it in wordpad and then copy and paste it. Then we can get those masterpieces.grin

RE: What irritates you?

Did I irritate you? Doesn't take much does it? All that hating and irritation, am I on that list yet? You spelled irritate wrong to I might add. Do you hate people that can't spell too?

gem

RE: What irritates you?

Hate? One way you can deal with hate of other people is to be more accepting. Once we are more accepting and tolerant, hate does disappear.

RE: Why do younger men go into older women profiles???

We love emoticons! The question I have is, who cares how many photo's somebody puts on their profile? It's their profile, they can put what they wish. No rules are broken, nobody is hurt, the police aren't knocking on the door....so what does it really matter? The opposite argument to that is that people who don't post a photo can also be said to be hiding something.

I think your in 'Attack' mode too there with this statement..."those emoticons do prove your point about your maturity don't they?? LOL"

Waking up to a sad day.

I don't think many people just wake up to a sad day and normally I don't. But today, after making morning coffee and sitting down to read CNN news delivered to my email, a story shocked, repulsed and deeply saddened me.

It was about a young 11 year old boy who was a bright young handsome guy. Got all A's and B's in school. Had a caring and loving family. A kid that had a lifetime ahead of him.

He came home from school the other day, was beaming when he handed his mother his report card and then went upstairs to his bedroom until dinner. His mother and sister both called up to him when dinner was ready and he did not answer. So his sister went upstairs to get him and what that young girl found, no sister should find ever. She found him hanging in the closet dead. He hung himself. He had gotten tired of it and had enough.

He was a victim of bullying at school. After a lengthy period of time being called names such as 'gay' 'the virgin'. because he was from the Virgin Islands and ugly and a host of other names, he had enough. He did tell his mother, she did tell the school and nothing got done about it or nothing effective was done about it. So because he was tired of it, this young man thought he had no other escape than to hang himself.

I guess we do it as children and as adults as well. Say words to people and never knowing really what kind of impact they may have. We put on this brave smiling face, just as he did, yet inside of us those words cause little stabs of pain and hurt. And in some cases, we crawl away to a closet and hang ourselves.

It is a sad day.

RE: HELP ME UNDERSTAND WHY

And yeah, it is okay to say something stupid. it gives the rest of us something to laugh at and make our lives more entertaining.

However, your quite right, you wouldn't be the first, or the last and you probably also wouldn't win the " Most stupidest thing ever said in a public forum " contest either. But let's not judge them shall we, just have fun and as Yoda said, " Do or do not. " "There is no attempt." Well okay, the fuzzy headed little fart said 'try' but hey, let's not haggle over words...try....attempt....ahh close enough.

So yeah, say more stuff more often and if you can make us laugh, all the better. rolling on the floor laughing

RE: How do you make...

It is the mustard seed that does the work, nothing else. The flour is just the carrier to form a paste and make it spreadable. The soda, because kids skin is more sensitive needs the soda to somewhat help control the burning.

The adult version needs more carrier as it is covering a bigger area therefore needs more flour but not the soda as it is more diluted. Your right about the percentages and the childrens variety is stronger but with the soda, it balances it out somewhat. You could probably use just 3/4 of a tsp of mustard seed in the kids version as well. The main ingredient is still the same.

RE: How do you make...

Eucalyptus oil and lavender is also very beneficial and also very natural. Just boil some water and put it in a bowl, cover your head with a towel and breathe in the steam and stick your head over the bowl. You only need about 8 drops of Eucalyptus oil and lavender oil each. I will have a look through my herb book and see what else I can find for you. Try what KHD has given you here to. A mustard seed foot bathe helps as well. Also including garlic, ginger, watercress in your daily diet will help.

Another recipe is Green Tea, lemon juice, natural honey and whiskey works as well.

Hope this helps.

RE: Why do younger men go into older women profiles???

I don't worry about it. Matter of fact, I am somewhat flattered by it when a young woman views my profile. I don't get any young men, which is okay.

Besides Dawn, you do look much younger and are an attractive woman so that probably explains a lot of it. I'll go and look at your profile now, help raise the average age a bit for you. Hey, always willing to help.
