I agree with eyes (this woman has lots of insight, trust her observations)...'have a positive attitude'. Now look down at your feet. See anything? It is called square one, you are there. The next square over is called square two. Good luck in your journey there.
Walk softly and carry a really big stick. Take your time, and time spent in communication first will usually weed out the 'freaks'. After spending some time hanging around these site, you get to be a battle hardened veteran and can see em coming a mile away.
And at the top of this page there is a button labeled "SCAM WARNING", let it become your best friend.
By the way, I am a business man stuck in Nigeria who lost his wallet and I have no money to get home. By the way I live in..in..um..just down the road from you and turn left at the drug store. Yeah, that's it...so can you send me some money. Coupons maybe? Hey, I know...cashiers cheques, I'll send you a bunch and you send me the money...okay? Sound good?
Naw...you guys got it all wrong. It was intentional. They were playing war games and stuff and just got a little enthusiastic about it. Decided that instead of firing torpedoes, they would just ram each other...
...sort of a realism factor you know. Guys do that sort of thing.
I have to agree that this happens to almost all of us at one time or other on both sides of the fence.
I usually will answer except in some cases. Those being;
1. You write to tell me how much you liked my profile and didn't look at it.
2. You are outside my age range that I have posted on my profile. READ THE DAMN THING WILL YA!!! I AM NOT LOOKING FOR CASUAL ENCOUNTERS WITH 25 YEAR OLDS!!!!
3. You will only be contacted through MSN or Yahoo.
4. You send me your email in your first message. Ask for money. Give me some kind of hard luck story.
5. Or you live half way around the world. I do LDR'S within some kind of reason.
Maybe other people have their own lists that result in silence. However, if a person does say they are looking to chat or make new friends, then hell...at least acknowledge it.
Well you better entertain those thoughts cause you wouldn't want all that dark, cold, long winters stuff to go to waste now would you? It would be so....soo....so Un-Canadian!
Sometimes we can't either! I think that is why lots and lots of babies are born in the fall in Canada...all that winter loving to keep warm! It does have it's benefits.
I lived in the Arctic for a year...and -60, -70 was not uncommon. Gotta love it or leave it!
A formula? How about if you just go with the 'when it feels right to you' thing. Really, your the only person who knows when it is time to move on and when it is not rather than staring at a calendar.
If it feels right, do it. If it doesn't, then don't.
One thing about Russian women and Russians is they have this pride thing. I know, I married a Russian woman and she was great...except for some things I ran into. Remember the Kursk? Pride stopped the Russians from asking for American help to save the men on the submarine so they died.
1) She held out her hand and said.." Give me money " and it was expected to be supplied in whatever amount she wanted because after I married her, I was her husband and that is what she expected from me. Never came up before the papers were signed though....only after.
2) I was always wrong...no matter what.
3) She was dirt poor and liked expensive Italian clothes and expected to have it.
4) They spoil their children rotten.
5) Was a procrastinator big time because she always knew what was best, what was the best way to do things and how to do it.
6) Russians invented everything and won World War 2 by themselves.
That is my experience and I know many who have had very good fortune with Russian women. Pride though, it runs deep in Russian blood. Just be prepared to spend a lot of money...and I mean a lot. On the other hand, I know plenty of great Russian women...it comes under the people are people thing no matter where you go in this world.
First clue is when they say they looked at your profile....and haven't. How can they know we are the most perfect match in the universe if they haven't even read my profile?
I just ignore them and delete them as fast as possible. Scammers in my opinion...
