Did ya ever hear of this? Stepins are women's panites...
Certainly, my dads mom always called them that! When I asked why, she replied, "'Cause you step into them." When I asked why britches weren't called stepins as well, all I got was a dirty look!
Years ago, I would go and find someone to get in a fight with and either beat hell out of them or get the hell beaten out me. When I quit that I was about 50/50. Now I just work on the heavy bag - it doesn't hit back, so I always win!
Yes, I believe he was already using the ultracapacitors, as I heard them mentioned. However, I will google them and learn more about them. Thanks, Conrad
Hard to beat German engineering! And solar power may not be as far away as we think - the hybrids are already doing very well, and I saw an electric/gas hot rod that a fellow built that turns in impressive numbers for an electric. Something like 0 - 60 in 5.4 seconds, give or take.
Yeah, you gotta watch those side pipes! When I worked for the Chrysler dealer in Oak Ridge, I had to go into Knoxville, pick one up, and bring it back. HE, HE, HE!!! 170 on I-75, weaving traffic, with at least 25% of the pedal left, and I lived to tell it! I looooooooove those cars!
Ever since Henry Ford rolled the first Model T Fords off the assembly line, people have had a love affair with automobiles. As a mechanic, I'm curious - what kind of car do you now have, and if you could have any dream car you wanted, what would it be?
At present I have a 1987 Pontiac Firebird that is a restoration in progress and, also, a daily driver.
My dream car, however, would be a 1994 Dodge Viper. '94 was the first year, and they were all hand built. Plus, I love the idea that a 70k$ Dodge can run with a 250k$ Ferarri!
NO THANKS! I have seen horses copulating and it is a violent, messy affair!
The worst job I ever had was working at funeral parlor. It's good hours, for the most part, and good pay, but it gets old having to deal with people who have just lost a loved one. I'm a very emotional person, and I can't help but feel for someone in that situation, which becomes very draining after a few months. I did it for two years!
My brakes are on fire from trying to slow down I'm always burning my tires and my horn is too loud I catch people staring, looking funny at me When I step to the window and I toss the tv
Sometimes I get crazy, and it makes a big scene But I hit twenty-one I want to stand up and scream I'm filthy rich with laughter, I'm too big for the room You know, from two stories up, a Zenith makes a big boom
Chorus: It's hard to get around in a six foot town When your ten feet tall everything is so small I'm always bumping my head, I'm way too big for the bed Yeah, it's hard to get around in a six foot town
Some people live inside a tiny little box Their preoccupied about mismacthing their socks Well, I've never been one to worry 'bout much I just wanna laugh and love, I just wanna live it up
Repeat Chorus
"Six Foot Town" by Big and Rich
This is my theme song right now, and anyone who doesn't live in Kingston wouldn't understand!
Oh my lord, I have transgressed now! Sorry guys, but I got so caught up in a thread on the "other forum" that I haven't been back in a while. I, too, shall start checking in more often. I usually log on around 7 or 8 pm for a little while, and I'll check the Tennessee forums when I do. I look forward to talking with all of you!
Good one for sure gentlepaws - a true philosopher speaks, er, types!
Personally, I find it easier to be myself online. The fear of rejection or ridicule isn't as great. I've only been here for a couple of months, but I consider you all my friends and trust you with my thoughts and feelings. But, on the flip side, it is frightening to think how far that information travels to all corners of the globe. Not only a privelege, but a great responsibility!
RE: What are you listening to.......#18?
The White Stripes! I just discovered them, and they kick mighty monster a$%!!
