I may as well live alone.. I have a nearly 90 year old mother living with me, she absolutely refuses to participate in her own life, and wants to consume mine.

I have often thought about becoming involved on a more permanent basis (and damn near did a few months ago) but I have to ask myself if it would be fair to a potential partner.. Probably not.

SO, for now I will invest in another Harley, bring in caregivers for mom, and escape "my" world for a few days at a time..

Just my opinion...

People today live in the past, based on past experiences. Fear of the unknown. Many doors await us all to open, my experience is so many are afraid to open that new door and take a walk through it. They fear the unknown..

Let me make it simple for you to understand. In nine days I will be 68 years old, my whole life has been fighting for everything I have (starting at age 17 when I entered the military). NOT ONE DAMN THING, was handed to me.

People today seem to want socialized this and socialized that.

"TODAY'S" people in general is my perception. Naturally it is changeable. Problem being, people must be "willing" to change, most I have seen are not. It is always easier to blame others for our/their downfalls. I am only guessing (at best), but I believe most people want everything handed to them.
