RE: Should Ireland follow the UK and leave the EU.

I said no.
Even though poverty and loss of jobs sounds fun.
Since that is what will happen when we lose the European market.
A lot is going on at the moment with Ireland, Europe and Northern Ireland so why give our very efficient government more work on sorting this country out.
I suspect the country will be sent back to the 70's or 80's.
Most definitely not the 90's the time were I was born and when the country was not just stable but flourishing.
We were the Economic symbol of growth in Europe and developed the highest living standards in the world until the financial colapse of 2007.
We were the model that showed too rapid of economic growth produced problems as spending increased and saving decreased during the "Celtic Tiger".
This increased prices of all goods and services beyond the increase of wages also people took out loans they either thought they could afford or knew they couldn't and that destroyed the banking system as banks were so eager to make money and the government didn't place any structure for banks to follow.
I am sure you know what happened next.
Well if you all forgot we had to bail ourselves out twice to stay afloat their were ques of young and highly skilled people leaving this country because there were no jobs because no one had money and we're forced to do so.
The generation before me messed me over and I will find it hard or impossible to forgive them if they make us leave the EU because we will loose out on jobs free access of persons and products to the European market.
Not only will you be affecting people getting a good job here but you'd affect them abroad too as the job market will be harder to get into as freedom of movement will be taken away.
Also small Irish businesses are already suffering from Brexit why make it harder for them to trade globally?
Also Multinational companies are one of Ireland's biggest employers.
If you want tpo know how bad it could get just look at the UK it lost £60 billion on the first day it voted BREXIT and Ireland is a delicate economy.
I love my country so please don't hurt it.
So hear me out.
If you read all of this and kept an open mind I would be very grateful.
Just please be respectful if you don't agree with my opinion that is backed up by information and examples to real world problems that we could face of we go it alone.
Slán.
