I actually know a trans man who has been a family friend for nearly 15 years; he was a depressed and troubled fifteen year old girl when we met. . He began hormone therapy two years ago and is now a successful young artist with a Masters Degree and happier than I have ever known him to be. He was clearly in the wrong gender and this has probably saved his life.
I am having a seriously hard time caring about the people on this thread...what a bunch of self righteous,self centered egocentrics. Good Karma starts here. If you honestly cannot care about people who do not have the opportunities that you take for granted, why should anybody care about you?
Well firstly, the poll was seriously slanted toward the right. Since all the answers were pretty wrong, I didn't vote. Asking if Donald Trump will "drain the swamp" is like asking if you should put a crocodile in charge of a pig farm. All Trump focuses on is opportunity for himself and in the end we'll find ourselves with nothing but one fat and stupid croc. And he really is stupid. I mean seriously, dangerously stupid.
So he lied about tariffs on cars coming out of China; he said:
"China has agreed to reduce and remove tariffs on cars coming into China from the U.S. Currently the tariff is 40%."
but it was a lie and the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped almost 800 points. Of course, then he back peddled like crazy but yeah, he caused that by lying. But just keep supporting him. He's gonna leave you holding the bag and slink off to Maralago like Snidely Whiplash...

Well, I thought it might be fun to meet a guy whose first choice for dinner is not an all you can eat Chinese buffet; someone whose attire doesn't have a single skull on it. I thought it might be fun to have a conversation that does not turn to Nascar or the New England Patriots or why everyone should be armed to the teeth.
And, there's zero chance a guy in a different country voted for Trump and is now lying about it in the desperate hope of getting laid.

You cannot convince me that Jesus is anything other than a mythological character; like Hercules or Zeus. Having a book that declares him so doesn't mean anything other than he is a character in that book.
I was just told that it is common practice for hotels to not change the blankets between guests; that they change the sheets but the blankets are only changed "every so often" unless they are "visibly stained". I was told that it would not be cost effective to wash the blankets and mattress pad between each guest. Personally, I find that unacceptable and I'm wondering...
Would you stay in a hotel if you knew this was true?
It's internet unaccountability...and it's not just here. People say horrible things to each other; treat each other horribly on the internet because they are unaccountable for their actions...and it's spilling over into how we treat each other offline as well. People in general have just become more rude and intolerant. The answer? Don't follow suit. You do you and don't take the trolls personally. I mean, why would you care about what someone like that thinks anyway? Let it go.
Now there's a thought...bring back bathroom matrons. Not only will we be standing up for equality, we'll be creating jobs.
I think change is often uncomfortable for those having to make it but future generations won't have the hang ups we have because of the changes we make.
Being a humanist, I believe there's only one race of people and that would be the human race; ethnicity doesn't factor into it. I've been out with all kinds of men and discovered that there are good guys and there are not so good guys and 'race', that artificial barrier, doesn't have much to do with it. I have no plans to change my views so yes, I'll continue dating men based on far more interesting things than simply pigment. Peace.
My profile is painfully, brutally, I-don't-give-a-damn honest. I really don't understand not being honest...you have to come out from behind that profile sometime if you're expecting to meet someone.
There is nothing quite like meeting your date for the first time only to find that his profile picture was taken sometime around 1990 and he looks like his own father...yes, that happened. Oh...one guy...not even sure he was the guy in his profile picture.
I look at it this way; if you can't take me here in this little box, you are gonna have a very hard time digesting the rest of the package.
If you pronounce 'schedule' as 'shedule', why then isn't 'school' pronounced 'shool'? And I shudder to think how 'schizophrenia' might then be pronounced.
