the system in UK is the same for parents of handicapped children, but because of budget's, work loads of social workers many people don't get the help they need, only the ones that shout the loudest .many don't because they are afraid they will be viewed as not coping and the child then taken away.
this going very much into a human rights issue, the profession i worked in would say that no one had the right to make that decision on before of another human being. My personal opinion is different. Very controversial issue
For me true friendship is a two way street. Someone that will alway's be there no matter what, listen, never be judgemental, never say 'I told you so'. I have many acquaintence's but 3 people i know are always there for me, my daughter and very special friend in UK and one person i have met on here.
that really depends on the parents and follow up support given, if there are into promoting independance., Social Care in the UK has developed enormously over recent years , people are supported to achieve individual goals, positive 's are focused on as opposed to what they are unable to do. I worked people out of homes/hospital's and supported them in there own homes to live there life. The attitude of the adoptive parents needs to be progressive . But i strongly disagree the process should be easier
to me that is really crazy, these children need so much and it is exhausting both mentally and physically, i worked with children with severe problems both mentally and physically and the pressure on parents is enormous when it is there own child. Many relationships broke down because of the pressure
i think there has to be checks, guidence, and support BUT were you aware that it is easier to adopt a child that is handicapped ? because they are hatder to place, now where is the logic in that? having worked with learing disabilities for many years that is ridiculous.
I don't think these could be enforced, and it would worry me if it were tried, think we are controlled enough already the only one i believe is feasible is education / contraception
I would agree with that but it would be the same from any poor country. I had a Turkish partner for 3 yrs and he was cleaner than any British man i had known
Think it's easy to hid behind a computer screen, and we only portray to people what we want them to see, that's why i like the forums i think you get to see more of a person by there posts. Wary of anyone who contacts me thro a search, thinking about it i don't respond if i don't know someone from the forums
me to, in the garden love the smell of Honeysuckle and stock, god this is making me miss UK, I thought it was only tea bags and gravy granules i missed.
