Parents DO propogate these tendencies, but it goes deeper than that. It's about simple right and wrong. Why parents are so apathetic teaching their children proper morals and ethics is beyond me.
However, there is hope.
My cousin used to tell his own father off for racial comments, and he was only 14! He saw the world through informed eyes...or rather, his mum had instilled within him a deep sense of right and wrong.
He, and his two brothers were genuinely good children, and will go on to make fine boyfriends and husbands.
Don't worry about the Chinese or Russians. At the end of the day, huge sums of money are at stake and their respective wealth will increase hugely...pragmatism will reign there I feel.
But Islamic radicals...that's a different story all together. They don't care about anything but their twisted view holliness and the resulting jihad.
Expect anything from Bush...he's got nothing to loose.
And don't forget, Tony Blair is still involved behind the scenes...anything could appen.
Even the abused and oppressed need to be gracious and magnanimous...displaying a reasonable attitude and good humour even under trialsome circumstances.
Pardon me for saying this, but this thread is not about any one person...it's about discrimination in general, albeit with last nights events in mind.
Thanks. Haven't spoken to my mum and rest of my family in 10 years...bad people.
The only reason I put up with my Dads new wife is because in most other instances, she's got a heart of gold...she looks after my disabled Dad wonderfully.
Sad she should have such a bigoted attitude in some respects.
Principles come before any relationship in my view.
You know, this virtual quagmire doesn't ruffle my feathers - hell, I'll never meet any of these folk in all likelihood. So while trying to be civil, I'm not to fussed what people think of me as there'll always be personality differences.
But that kinda depressed me...that nasty rascist thread. Super bilious...dreadful stuff.
