There is nothing wrong with discussing such a matter with somebody with whom you are considering a relationship with. Indeed, it's vital.
However, setting a time scale before you're actually in the relationship is a little disconcerting if you're not quite of the opinion that you're 100% sure this is the person for you.
Being prepared to compromise on such a metter doesn't include such rigidity in my opinion.
I'd have much preferred a much more reasonable approach.
So, it's better to let such a person find what they're looking for elsewhere.
As you say, she's not nasty or a player or anything like that. She's just in need of a wake up call and some guidance to help her out of this mess she finds herself in.
But she's got to want to straighten herself out first, and it don't sound as if she's at that point yet.
