Corona and economical crisis

Today The federal government ad hoc declared code 3 of the crisisplan.
The rules are almost the same as a total lockdown scenario but the word is avoided because they feared the people's reactions.
It is strange as the Netherlands and the UK do not believe in those dragonic measurements and keep their stores and shops open, schools stay open and factories too.
The reason for it that they believe in the immunity of the group, the more the immunity of the group increases the more the virus will be inhibited and at last the epidemia will end.
The risk is that before the group immunity is achieved many persons might die.
But their economical damage will be lesser then those of a total lockdown.
The impact on people's social life is enormous, how long can this situation be kept?
What is the right approach? Time will tell.

Is it because of self defense against a dangerous religion, being an anachronism in this modern age? Or is it for the same reason as Israel treats the Palestinians ? or is it worser???

Personally I do not believe in complot theories but what to think of the USA - China involved in an economical war and followed soon by a new virus breaking out in China, now hosting the whole world by a pandemia and causing a masshysteria from the media and a new economical crisis ?
Only in China the rate of contamination is decreasing.
A new crisis was already predicted,... but is this the one they got in mind??
On the other hand it could be pure coincidence too....
One thing is for sure it is a serious warning from nature not to mess with life itself I believe.

It is not happening in The Netherlands alone, it is everywhere in Europe except is the post communistic countries. They show they got balls and deal rigorously with the problem resulting in a disapproval by the EU Parliament but encouraged by its native people.
I believe if people want to integrate we must give them an opportunity,but if they fail or refuse....no mercy !

I agree with your view but on the other hand we may not forget what the so called liberal and free countries do to others. f.i.
- The policy of the Israelian leaders (Jews) towards the Palestinan people for decades all with
the support of the US and the lack of courage of the European countries!
- The US policy on immigrants and refugees,
- The Australian immigration policy,
- The US treatment of their allies, the Kurdisch people, after the war with ISIS?
- The US support of Saudi Arabia on its war with Jemen?
etc.....
This countries who claim to have roots in Christianity and the Enlightment. Countries whose constitutions protect the freedom of persons and other freedoms. These countries act the opposite way!!! Why such hypocrisy? Is it in our genes?

The EU court sentenced its member Belgium to pay €13000 to an illegal refugee who was condemned for criminal activities and who has been expelled and is refused to enter to the country ever !!
WHY?? Because he is no longer able to visit his child in Belgium so this is a violation of the personal private rights every person has said the eminent judge!! Belgium considers an appeal.
What will be the consequences for the European Union countries? Will they obey this rule?
What about his other illegal activities, don't they matter anymore?

correction:
Brexit is a fact since 31/01/2020 but an additional a transitional arrangement has been put in place until the end of this year. Reason: purely economic.
Now I am looking forward who will be rigth. Future wil tell us.

This was a predictable scenario. Mrs Meghan, an american actress over the top was just looking for a wealthy man to support her high lifestandard. She succeeded. An emancipated woman raised in a country that states freedom as the highest achievement would never let herself close in, in the rigid protocol of the British royalty. The lady Diana syndrome!! Once her goal was achieved, Plan C(anada) was unfolded.
A crisis was born. How to solve this?? As it is once done in the Belgian royal house. The "rebel" loses all its titles and benefits forever and its ascendents either. They are on there own from that moment on.
Now they are still payed by the taxes of the British people!!
Besides: a royal house is an inheritance of the medieval times and is as an anachronism today. Get rid of it asap.
In Britain their is still a kind of crazyness about their royals who live as parasites on the peoples sweat!! Incredible!!

Shouldn't the Britisch government had invested the money, they use now to bring back Britisch people, in trying to save Thomas Cook? Or did they know better? Did they had more information? Or didn't they just dare in this climate of political uncertainty ?

It is amazing that a teacher geography at high school in the '70's told us that in the 21 th century there would be no more conflicts between nations but between ideologies and blocks of countries with the same ideology.
I must admit his prediction became reality. How will the blocks cope with this? As long as money ( capitalism) overrules the ideologies it can be kept under control . What if the financial world will get a total collapse??
The survival of the fittest (=strongest) might create a armageddon scenario.
Or will China only become the new leader of a new era??

It looks as no one is interested. It seems as a far of my bedroom story. It is especially this ignorance that is gonna get us in the problems at the end. We are at a turning point in history but we prefer to deny it instead of leaving our comfortzone. That is narrow minded and dangerous attitude....

I agree with you as capitalism is an economic system based on greed!! Greed is a basic instinct, a very strong one.Lesser is the effect that all goodwill efforts are counteracted by an increasing population growth.
That is the core of the whole problem. Till now, I haven't noticed a single leader or politician who suggests to promote measures to manage a the human population. ( Although biology can teach us
what happens when a population becomes too big!!!) The reason looks simple: every person is a potential consumer, a buyer. Again money, a material value, rules the world. Will we destroy ourselves??

Are EV’s the solution for the future? I don’t know.
You must do a LCA (life cycle approach) of it and then you can make a statement.
A “LCA” checks all the stages a product goes through, from raw material to waste management.
Comparing EV’s to combustion cars there is one advantage, the control of the emission.
But the production processes are quite similar. They stay parallel till the motor comes around.
What about the production of steel by the coal-fired blast furnaces ?
The fine dust particle problem caused by tyre wear? The overexploitationg for precious materials
used in the batteries?? .....etc. Let's not forget the booming of road constructions.
Nowadays the hype of SUV on the automotive market . Those cars don’t even need a road to get were they want, the destructive impact of it is great.
The growing world population will not make it easier! (Unless for the sellers: it are all potential buyers! )
In The Netherlands they are making progress with the innovation of solar induced cars.
Will that be a final solution??? I doubt it

Whatever you want one thing is for sure , death comes as a thief in the night! You will never be able to chose how you die unless you are going to kill yourself and even then you are not sure!
We have to accept that every day can be the last!
A nice thing that makes it all more bearable is a belief in an afterlife.

I heard on the TV news a critical journalist made an enquiry to the rumours that Google is eavesdropping the calls made by the app Google assistant or Google home service, by a device you can order.
In their reaction Google says it it is already included in their new general terms and conditions that they are allowed to listen to audio recordings after some time.
The incriminating evidence was given by an employee who said Google hired a crew of people in the different countries to check the made calls selected by a computeralgorithm.
The contents varies from innocent messages to very intimate calls which had nothing to do with Googles goal: to improve their browser services provided.
It looks as a kind of stalking. As they also unilaterally imposed their terms and conditions.
Google admitted and also stated they will try to track down the whistle - blower in order to fire him/her and bring him to court!
It rises more questions.
Is it all legal? Is it allowed? What about our privacy? Don't they have to ask first permission??
How will the politics react on it? In USA, in Russia, in China and EU??
Is this behaviour of Google not a bridge to far? Or may they stalk us as a Big brother??

Correction, The USA was not winning in the Pacific at that moment!! They suffered heavy losses on the Philippines . So Truman convinced the government to use an atomic bomb.He wanted to show Russia its power. Without the help of Russia Japan would never have surrendered so fast and the US would have lost many soldiers. For what purpose ?
Btw The US has billions of economical debts to China and Japan today,and still they believe a freaky reality TV president will make America great again??

May I add some forgotten facts to your listing? Everything you say I agree with. But did you know why the US dropped 2 atomic bombs on Japan? Hundred thousands of innocent people died and the Japanese army would have not surrendered if Russia, Stalin being their leader, broke up the non attack agreement with Japan and started an offensive in Manchuria with succes!! Now The Japanese saw their their planned exhaustive guerrilla warfare, as defense against the allies, vanishing. Stalin did it because he want to have arguments for the negogiations after the war. The US wanted the communistic influence to be stopped and to show the Russians their destructive force. Japan wanted to keep their emperor with his divine status. So Japan chose the least bad outcome and surrendered to the US. Those rewrote a new constitution for Japan in their favor! F.i. The emperor lost its divine status and Japan was not allowed to have an army on itself. So the US started their imperialism. Also Europe suffered the same fate. It became a vassal of the US economical and militair (NATO). (see the Marshall plan). Since the founding of the EU it might be changing. Although the English leaders their 'outlaw policy' or Brexit can disturb it.

Big Money takes the EU hostage simple as that!! Not the politicians rule the EU but the lobby of big companies who do want to protect their interests and profits. The rest of the people are just a labour force as livestock (horses, mules) is. Politicians may be one of their partners or just puppets on a string. The result will be the same.
