I think when some people speak ill of love, falling in, or finding it. They are still tormented by past experiences and in many cases this is justifiable. The hardest part of a traumatic event or something that has really hurt you, is the time it takes to heal. Although our hearts don't change, they become taunted. You either have a heart or you don't. When you do, it mends and in many cases becomes fuller because you appreciate it more, respect it more, protect it more.
I couldn't imagine not feeling love in my heart. I feel love everyday at work, when I look at other couples that just have it right, when I talk/look at my kids. Love in many ways can inspire you to be a better person.
Everyone deserves to be happy, being happy with yourself is the number one priority, then you see how much love is around you, how much love you can feel.
Some women/men get it, some don't. Mr Wilson is a 'get it'.
You can fight your way through life, or you can open up and absorb its beauty. Yes we all feel, experience hurt thats why loving can hurt so much, and Im not just talking about a partner.
Good luck Asian, don't settle for anything less than someone cherishing your heart.
