RE: What would your reaction be?

I think you are talking about the other person being able to access everything you have written to and received from others on CS, which will include flowers, friend requests etc.....

Some say that this shows a lack of trust....

but there is another way of looking at it....could also be a big leap of faith too....but only if both have access to each others accounts on here......it would be an interesting exercise to see how the object of our desire interacts with other people....how consistent they are or not etc....

So if both of you have nothing to hide then i see it as a sign of trust......but obviously the connection between you both, to even do this in the first place would have to be very strong..
otherwise i don't see the point......

i think it is more of an interesting exercise if the two have still not met yet......cos after meeting a few times that should suffice to know if the person is worth pursuing or not !

Good luck wine

RE: Is Doc in the house?

Hi Immanuella....sorry that you are in pain....i've had several root canals done....HORRENDOUS !
Last one was while i was in indonesia...it didn't feel right after, so i called my dentist in Portugal...and she advised me to take a course of anti-biotics in case of infection !...which i did and i was fine after....
if it is still throbbing in the morning i would suggest you call your dentist immediately to rule out the possibility of infection........
the other thing is that she might not have entirely killed the nerve at the base of the tooth...sometimes the canal where the nerve is curves and it is difficult to get to the end of them...
good luck...and hope you feel better soon

RE: Your Username........

I dreamt my username about 8 years ago......the dream was just big letters (METIJA) against nothingness....i woke up and thought.....hmmmm how odd...confused ...better write it down....
and went back to sleep....
next day, being very curious as i had never heard of this word.....i googled it.....Metija is a small place in equador at the base of the Andes.....it is also fertile valley in Algeria at the base of the Atlas mountains.....
It is the name given in Greek mythology to the closest moon circling jupiter/Zeus...she was first wife of Zeus and Goddess of knowledge.

RE: exposed

Firstly you should seek legal advice.......if you cannot pursue it through the courts cos of lack of evidence......but you still want to expose the guy....hire a private detective, cos if the guy was stealing then the odds are on that he is still doing it.....when you've got proof, confront the company (preferably through your lawyer)....saying either they reinstate your contract (if that is what you want) or compensate you for breaking it....otherwise you will ....two options here......1. expose in the local/national newspaper.....2. take them to court and sue them !

If the above seems like too much hassle....try and put it down to life experience and keep on trucking !

Good luck !

RE: Romantic dinner...

I would start with an aphrodisiac....oysters....followed by fresh prawns pan fried with garlic and mild chillies when nearly done a few drops white wine and a dash of cream.....main course would be fillets of sea bass pan seared and lightly scented with lemon grass and ginger, served with new potatoes and a tossed salad scattered with edible flowers.......desert would be a chocolate/fruit fondue to get into that sharing mood....yum yum
The house would be scented with jasmin, patchouli and ylang ylang....a very sensual combo wine

RE: the new president is blessed from Allah

Yeah i know...ego's frequently get in the way of discourse....it's not just a net/thread phenomenon, happens in every nook and cranny of daily life.....but if we communicate our views and experiences in a non-confrontational and peaceful way we are often heard wave

RE: the new president is blessed from Allah

That is just doctrine and dogma....and not heeded by people who think for themselves.....my mother is jewish...and the law in judaism is that if your mother is then so are you......i don't consider or feel myself to be jewish nor do i subscribe to any religion, labelling only serves to limit and seperate us ! handshake

RE: Since Dude has a hangover.........on Barak Obama's Election Win

As REP and Conservative Christian...I have to admit my disappointment in the results of the election. But have to give
credit to Barak Obama and his staff in running a fine campaign.
He, his staff and the DEM deserve congratulations.

It was a great night for him, his family and the DEM party.

Early in the day, I had sent a condolence email to the Obama
campaign website regarding his grandmother's passing. Within
24 hours, I had a on point thank email from one his staff.
They advise to send donation to any cancer organization of
ones choices, instead of flowers.

Then watched the results in the evening. Once it hit 270, I went to bed. But still woke today.:-)

I have caught the sound clips of Senator Obama thrilling speech of victory and Senator McCain's gracious speech of defeat. Both had messages for the country and the world in thier remarks.

Barak Obama task in the next several months....is to unite the country behind him. There many ways for him to attempt to do this. I am not the one to advise on it. With elected power come the responsiblity of
such decisions. Some 46% of the country supported his political opponet, their voice still needs to be heard within his government. I am sure he will find a place and manner for that.

For the 52% that did directly support him, comes the responsibilty of fully supporting him in both the good and bad times that may come in the future. For that is what the true value of a vote. Not that you have just desire for a change, but have the long term preservance and strength to make the change in facing all events.

Yesterday was victory for democracy. Anytime a peaceful change of power can occur, it shows the resolve of the people to live in a
civil society. This for the world is perhaps the greatest lesson of the day.

God bless the new 44th President of the United State, Barak Obama, his family and the new administration of the American Government.
God speed to retiring 43th President of the United State, George W. Bush, his family and his adminstration.

What a first class exemplary attitude ! tip hat handshake

RE: Change we can believe in.

Indy....this is for you...a little more homework !

John McCain's campaign has a truth squad which includes prosecutors who support his candidacy, according to reports and a campaign source.

Last Tuesday without any fanfare, the Barack Obama campaign announced Jennifer Joyce and Bob McCulloch, the top prosecutors in St. Louis city and St. Louis County, were joining something called an Obama truth squad.

They plan to respond immediately to any misleading advertisements and statements that might violate Missouri ethics laws.

"We want to keep this campaign focused on issues," Joyce told me. "Missourians don't want to be distracted by these divisive character attacks."

The truth squad's plan is to indentify false attacks and respond immediately with truthful information, Joyce and McCulloch say.

Truthful information like: Obama is a Christian who plans to cut taxes for anyone making under $250,000 a year.

The Obama campaign says prosecutors from the Kansas City area and some rural areas are also joining the truth squad, and Jefferson County Sheriff Glenn Boyer was also expected to be part of the team.

"Whether it is directly attributable to the campaign or one of the soft money operations," McCulloch told me, "if they're not going to tell the truth, then somebody's got to step up and say 'wait a minute, that's not true, this is the truth.'"

For reasons that are still not fully clear, prosecutors promising to tell the public the truth have sparked outrage among supporters of John McCain.

Three days later, I got a call from KMOX radio talk show host Mark Reardon. (I'll paraphrase.)

That story you did last night is really getting a lot of attention, Reardon said.

I was off yesterday. What story? I asked.

The one about the Obama truth squad, he said.

Oh, that story I did Tuesday at 6, I responded.

Well, Rush Limbaugh just talked about it, and the blogoshpere has it, and it's getting big. It's really going to get big, Reardon said.

AP

Rush Limbaugh
Reardon was correct.

More than 90,000 people from across the country watched my report on KMOV.com. Click here to watch the report

When I returned to the office on Saturday, I spoke with callers from New York to Florida who had heard about Obama's truth squad and were outraged about it.

One caller said he was angry, because people were going to be "prosecuted" and "indicted" for stating their political views.

Another caller said Obama was planning to send police to the homes of elderly women because of their political statements.

A third caller said he wanted information about Obama's "storm troopers."

Members of law enforcement never said anyone would be prosecuted, indicted or punished for saying anything, only that they were prepared to tell the public the truth.

By Saturday afternoon, outgoing Missouri Gov. Matt Blunt, a McCain supporter, was also outraged and accused Obama of "police state tactics" that would "intimidate people and kill free debate."

KMOV

In a written statement on the governor's official Web site, Blunt said the basis for his statement was prompted by "news reports."

"The only conceivable purpose of Messrs. McCulloch, Obama and the others is to frighten people away from expressing themselves, to chill open debate," Blunt said in the statement.

Prosecutor Jennifer Joyce said: "We're here to respond to any character attacks, to set the record straight."

"Barack Obama needs to grow up," Blunt continued. "Usually, we ignore false and scurrilous accusations, because the purveyors have no credibility. When necessary, we refute them."

RE: Change we can believe in.

I know what you are saying and i totally disagree with anyone using fear to dominate a situation......
ok next question.....you say he may have squelched someone from putting on an ad???? but has he actually managed to stop a republican ad from being aired????.......i
have you also thought that all this smoke about the truth squad might be republican fear tactic

RE: Change we can believe in.

Not necessarily...though i personally tend to believe that by and large he is truthful......but at the end of the day each and everyone has to or should try cut through all the noise and find their own truth....we are so conditioned and influenced from the moment we are born, by our parents, by our environment, school, friends t.v. politics, religion etc....most do not know what the truth is anymore and let fear rule their judgements !
All the time you permit yourself to be conditioned by these things....you are not free !

...so has Obama sued anybody yet?
