RE: The most romantic thing

Okay, I thought I would not read through the other answers because I did not want to be affected by what others found romantic...

OMG!

No wonder I am single! I think I should phone both of those guys up and beg them to be with me.

The most romantic thing I did for a guy....

He had made a puppet for me for Christmas, his friends wondered why he did this but he said I would get a kick out of it. The puppet looked like him going to work.

I made a story with cards and had a cd that had hockey stuff on it. At the restaurant I told him to put on the earphones. I did the card thing and had the puppet of him relating to the song and had a makeshift hockey stick attached to the puppet. I had gotten hard to get hockey tickets for that night.

Unbeknownst to him...

I got his best friend to stand behind him when the puppet gave him the tickets. He came from out of town and was told that as soon as I asked my boyfriend to put on the headset he can come and stand behind him.

Those tickets cost me a bit and I had to ask my ex husband's partner to get them for me.

The nicest thing he said to me was..."That was so terrific, but at that moment it was YOU I wanted to go to that hockey game

I think I made the best choice, I would have been bored out of my freaking mind...really? A hockey game? I couldn't fake pleasure out of that.

RE: The most romantic thing

I think of the most incredible things that have been done for me over the years all the time. It is a major gift when someone thinks of you to make a day special.

Best one was setting up my place with candles and having instructions soon as I came in through the door, he was not there. Probably 100 tea lights.

I had to find all the letters of my name with the clues and then I would be directed to the next clue/letter.

For example, the first one was: You are the light of my life and there was a keychain for me in the standing light just inside the door.

He had painted a picture inspired by me that was in the next room with some wine and a lit fire. The directions said I should take a break and have a glass of wine.

Every room had roses and poems.

He was not around.

For sure the last letter of my name would be with him there and it wasn't.

I asked him why he wasn't there when I was going through all of this and he said "If I was there, it would not be all about you, you would be sharing this with me and today it's all about you"

Another was with someone else...

He bought a massage table online used. He got a massage cd for couples and he projected it on the wall. He gave me the converter and said, "Pause it when it feels good, fast forward if you don't like it". He also put an aromatherapy candle under my face and it burned. WTF? Who cares? I don't care how crazy it is, the idea is that they try.

I absolutely adore love letters although some I wonder what the hell? The point is that men try and I love that.

Losing a bet and getting dressed up as my Cabana boy, going to the liquor store and mixing up some tropical drink. Wearing a crown of plastic reeds on his head and wearing my sarong.

My best friend is married to my cousin and he comes up with fantastic ideas every Valentines day, one of which I was allowed to be part of.

My point is...

For me, imaginative, stupid, silly and a bit embarrassing.

That does it for me...
