RE: rationing rice in America

The European Union makes some member countries leave land unfarmed in order to fix artificially high staple food prices for the producers.

The so called Common Agricultural policy.

Now there is a world food crisis how about the price fixers making full use of available land for farming purposes.

Quite apart from the above there seems to be a free for all of farmers wishing to produce Biofuel crops instead of food.

Unfortunately the poorest always seem to suffer most.

RE: Should we continue with the olympic games in China?

Just make sure we stop buying goods originating in China.

It is difficult because so many large corporations now manufacture there.

Ultimately it can only help the rest of the world's economies and the return of some manufacturing industries.

This is guaranteed to change China's human rights record but only if we all take this action.

For sure this will not happen unfortunately!

RE: do we require tighter immigration laws in the UK

We are in the EU so 80% of current immigrants have the right to live and work in this country.

Immigration needs to be limited as far as the rest are concerned.

The labour govornment promised us a referendum on whether or not we should stay in the EU irrespective of so called changes in the treaty.

By not allowing a referendum they have already lost the next election.

I like and accept people from all races but recognize the fact that we are overpopulated and that migrants are generally here for economic reasons.

It is far better to impose small levels of taxation on the wealthier EU countries to keep the eastern european citizens inplace to develop and benefit their own countries and communities.

RE: SHOULD ZIMBAWAE NOW GIVE THE LAND BACK THAT IT TOOK FROM THE WHITE FARMERS ?

No because it was not theirs originally.
