Here we don't have medical bills but still...doctors and hospitals still get their money from the Social Security system.
I had written a thread some time ago about a similar case here in Spain where a 70 year old man had assisted his wife dying of a terminal illness. She had even written a letter confirming that it had been her wish.
But...he was still charged of manslaughtet although he wasn't sent to jail. There was a big controversy issue about it!!
I think it's a beautiful love story of courage and dignity.
Why suffer anylonger when you're terminally ill? I would want to do the same!
I certainly don't see it against morals. As for religion..well..to each their own belief.
As for the wife failed suicide..well..things do go wrong at times. But being charged for murder/manslaughter because she survived? That's ridiculous!!!!
