wow! Yes, colours are so uplifting. I find so when living in Germany in cold and dark winters. And, with the snow, I loved turquoise anoraks. I even had a red hat - french style.
In the house, I like wearing green socks in the winter and maybe a red scarf.
What about emails? Do you like writing in colour?
I was kind of reproached by someone today for writing in colour. He asked me if I had something to hide????
Why is colour such a powerful force in our lives? What effects can it have on our bodies and minds, taking into consideration that colours carry vibrations and certain energy?
For example, shades of red in the colour spectrum are known as warm colours and include red, orange, and yellow. These warm colours evoke emotions ranging from feelings of warmth and comfort to feelings of anger and hostility.
Colours on the blue side of the spectrum are known as cool colours and include blue, purple, and green. These colours are often described as calm, peaceful and healing, but can also be feelings of sadness or indifference.
What about emails? Do you write in colour? I often use green, and sometimes blue and maybe purple, depending on my mood and also the person I am writing to. When I like and care about the person, I like to use my creativity with colourful emails and pictures. Mind you, they might not appreciate it and just think that I am excentric.
The first 20 years of my life, when living in France, I only wore blue - all shades of blue, from light, dark, navy, indigo, and white. I suppose it was my "blue period"?
Then, when living in Germany where the weather is often cold and depressing in the winter, I started to wear bright colours like red and turquoise to cheer me up.
Since living in Spain, I started wearing other colours which I never thought I would wear, such as bright yellow, bright pink, bright green and also some earthy colours. Lilac has also become one of my favourites for my walls in the bedrooms.
Do colours affect your moods and vice versa?
When out in nature, can you blend in like a chameleon to fit in with your surroundings?
I´m also planning a journey to my home country at the end of this year, to see some family I haven´t seen for years. It might be the one and only trip, so I´ll have to make the most of it and.... see my 95 year old mum before she departs this world.
