I chose Ashlander as my new moniker a few years after I had a Montana Acct. (mtncabingirl) It is relative to my relocation to Oregon, not Ashland , Wisconsin. I studied the latitudes of my relocations and found my Ashland and an eastern Ashland are almost the same latitude.

BTW the midwest is pretty well represented here on this thread. ( Oregon resident by way of Boise,Id, Pocatello, Id, Tetonia, Id, Jackson Hole, Wy and Bozeman , Mt. and originally from Madison, Wi.) Our highways were often old routes for wagons or cattle drives and referred to as Trails.The stops were sometimes forts, river crossings, indian/trapper villages and mining towns..and on rare occassions a canyon hideout.Before settlers, miners,cowboys and mountain men the animal's migrations determined our routes.
I would suggest finding an alternative to what media you are viewing. Your research on global economics and/or technology will be worth your while. If you get bored with that, then study on the subjects you used to enjoy and find out the latest. Anything DYI is more beneficial than wasting time on speculations.

What do YOU think Americans are really worried about?Their children's future.(if a parent, grandparent). Otherwise, worried about what other unforeseen changes will occur in their lives. IMHO
Of course YOU would turn around my point entirely, the teaching of Western History to young persons is primarily through what their parents (2005) view.

So I wondered what the " political climate" might be, as the prospective employer is liberal and outspoken.
The post on CL was definitely leaning towards a long awaited outcome from the C virus...as was the other video from Norway.
I am not running away from the quarantine but I see extremely opinionated communities in Oregon and am very wary of how they will adapt.
