RE: Atheist and A believer fist fight who wins?

A conundrum ,whether you're existence is actually threatened .
I love the wording of " suspended disbelief".

RE: Atheist and A believer fist fight who wins?

Of course it depends on what defines "win".

If you're being challenged to physically fight about religion,
you know Christians are supposed to turn the other cheek
and love their enemies.

You can not win anyone over with threats.wave
The power of Love is greater than the love of power.

Religious Bigotry-"They're all alike"

The rest of the comments I've been expecting. It is the part of having faith that
feels the most conflicting Hearing the insults from Jokes to stereotyping.
It is hard for me to point out the large number of people this offends.
Cllearly their choice warranted a proclamation against it.( Us ).
And it feels like a challenge I have to rise to but know there's no point.
Being adamantly against it-where's the live and let live. And the
agree to disagree most anti religious people say works in place
of religious doctrines for them./quote]

That part of it,being against others' choices- where's the live and let live .

Religious Bigotry-"They're all alike"

Mike " thank you for your service,is in reference to your military service"
Common phrase in the US to thank veterans of war.

Religious Bigotry-"They're all alike"

CC I always am amazed at your candor .I appreciate your comments thumbs up

Religious Bigotry-"They're all alike"

Spin and Ambition ? I don't even go to the gym.
I'm working 2 jobs.

Glad the storms passed. Meant to say that to commenters in general.

Religious Bigotry-"They're all alike"

* quite
And time frame...and it's time to go.

Stop in much later. And I won't be making it any more of it.
Enjoy to whomever wishes to share their thoughts and
experiences. A nice bunch of people to open up to.thumbs up

Religious Bigotry-"They're all alike"

Can only clear it up as each person might require.I don't see any refusal. Or any intentional
confusion. He clarified it for me.Same as Molly has.

I accept any thing one has shared. If any thing good comes of this thread, those who
are only reading and not commenting might benefit as well as I have.

How one has lived spelled out like that is the only way I relate to strangers.Just
Philosophizing all day ..is not the quote the same.

Our traditions, education, government.country, work is all part of the mix.
And sports.

Religious Bigotry-"They're all alike"

BTW Mike and Jac primarily I chose the word "they" to not infer any specific orientation.
They, them and those would only be persons who intend harm against people for very specific
reasons.
As such, not certain what word suffices. And prefer no labels.
My apologies for using non-believers.Just realized somewhere I used
it for a substitute unwisely.

Religious Bigotry-"They're all alike"

Guess that's been cleared up.
Anyways I also don't intend to think magically,or emotionally very often.
I enjoy humble people singing and quiet contemplation.
If I get inspiration it is from selfless acts and charity.
Not by dwelling on the end of the human race.
I'll go poof someday and never need to say
I told you so...just I love yous.

Religious Bigotry-"They're all alike"

For clarifying it's a big hell no I don't think that way.
Which is why it feels so strange when people demand
that religious people have answers for everything.

Like I said ..far from perfect, prophetic or wanting
to have robotic answers for people's questions.

Never been angry about religion and I've tried
to grasp the positives from all of them.

Or family tradition.

Religious Bigotry-"They're all alike"

Agnostic is very blue collar.?
Mike is it partly political in nature as well?

Religious Bigotry-"They're all alike"

So sorry,Activism. But I've read many of your articulate comments.

Yes, Quoting Scripture is a huge mistake..I comprehend that much. Time and place.

Religious Bigotry-"They're all alike"

Wow you did read that ALL religious people DO NOT follow these beliefs.?
I wouldn't be able to demonstrate to you that many, many people are less .. let's
say old fashioned in their practices.Even religious people are responsive to what they experience
in their own lifetime.
Can you understand now that being confronted with antiquated stereo types
of religion make dialog difficult.I don't represent any specific affiliation and am just
asking people who don't know what religious groups do to not lump them
ALL into one great dismissal as ... idiots.Wannabe Saviours.

Religious Bigotry-"They're all alike"

Religious Bigotry-"They're all alike"

Not dodging your comment.I would to little good having a discourse with Pat about imaginary friends in order to
convince him I'm worthy of his CS friendship. I enjoy his home as much as the next guy.
Any who ..back to you.I appreciate the direct feedback and unless we become better acquainted
you might continue to assess me in those terms.
The usage of Bigotry, versus Prejudice will not elicit any quotes of Scripture.
And I would not. But from the technical writing standpoint.duly noted you are known for
Journalism after all.
On a personal level there will be a time I can ruminate on the
impression I leave. In to further discourse, until I need to get ready for work.
Didn't intend to be long winded. There's much more I would love to read
from all.

Religious Bigotry-"They're all alike"

About acts...they not to be pretentious.or fake it till you make it.
Not acts but daily reminders, which are our prayers to be a work in progress.
We aren't ALL alike.
We don't ALL think:
Only our religion is true
Our God is true
Everyone is wrong
I can't live without saving someone

Inside each religions are different convictions, practices.
As different from each other as any two people are
in a profession,club,etc.

Religious Bigotry-"They're all alike"

I am least of all angry. most of all curious by the adamant comments that people who practice any religion believe they are not of the same human nature as others ( which is imperfect).

Religious Bigotry-"They're all alike"

Molly your beliefs have been articulate and I wonder if I may are they common
among Irish, because they are not the core points of non-believers I'm around. Yes
Many videos support those ideologies but pointing to out others actions as hypocrisy
is used least here.
More common is the to each his own without judgement. Combined with I am more comfortable
being a spiritual person e.g. good person, charitable and not church affiliated.

Religious Bigotry-"They're all alike"

If only...mockery of religious practices denounce any intention as to sincerity.
Perfection isn't required but always their bone of contention.
No one is saintly therefore the pretense that religious people should be measured
against that is ..futile.
That we are imperfect till we die is my particular understand in. And why I require
Your forgiveness,God's and my own forgiveness.hence, there is always a better day

Religious Bigotry-"They're all alike"

Yes analyse away while the content and context is religious freedom.
I' ll give you time to find your basis to reply about my clarification s of content.
In plain English it is not about me it is about all religions and how they are blamed for
what people who don't practice any do.

Can there be any one to blame for hatred, except the hater that keeps wanting
the religious people to uphold decency when they won't.
It is kind of contrived chaos that must stem from ? Nihilism?

Religious Bigotry-"They're all alike"

They would be persons who debase religion. The reason does not matter it is illegal to prevent people from their practices .

Religious Bigotry-"They're all alike"

Pat responds as to whatever is his intent. But is not about this content.

Lack of faith is often correlatef with self hate, not a new concept.
Human frailties.Without psychology and only religious terms what else denotes Bigotry
except hatred.bigotry isn't lukewarm. It"s proactive and offensive in action.
