Out of the blue saying simply "I love you" and also "You're so lovely." Very sweet.

I'm not sure about the nicest thing someone said, but I'll tell you one of the nicest things someone did for me.

He was on a business trip across the country. He finished his business and could have stayed and goofed off for a few days, but instead he flew back that day.. on an airline he'd sworn 20 years before he would never fly again.. just to get home on the off-chance that he could stop by for a goodnight kiss when he got home at 1:30am.

Needless to say, he got his kiss.
