RE: God vs. Science

is that the guy who wears a chicken suit? laugh

Mike, the universe has been evolving. It didn't, as your comments suggest, all just fall into the place it is now. Even our solar system has changed configuration at least once that we know of. Its called evolving. You want to get your head around that and in order to do that, stop thinking about the universe in creationism ways. As long as you carry creationism it will interfere with learning and accepting how evolution works.

As for the beginning- energy cannot be created or destroyed, it always was always is and always will be. There is no beginning, no end. Always=absolute. cheers

RE: God vs. Science

I think it's because you take afront personally when I reply specifically to you, and then you lose your linear comprehension because of your own emotional driven reactions... laugh

Kind of like a football player starring at his opponent. Intelligence reminds him he may get hurt and or must make sure that guy doesn't get one over on him, so he bolsters his attidude emotionally (some call it passion) to contend with the oncoming adversary.

fight, flight, avoid, submit. You most often chose fight (which requires emotion, which colours your ability to see clearly) When I speak to somoene else the 'adversarial quality' is removed, so you see clearer.

Not to worry a lot of people are like that, conceptual thinkers can generally and are most often want to find emotion in the most sterile of words.

RE: God vs. Science

thumbs up wave

RE: God vs. Science

wave confused yes, we are all connected, energy provides that connection. If you recall E=mc2. They are one in the same. The type of energy is irrelavant, whether its plasma, electric, magnetic etc, it always "=" mass by the speed of light squared.

Energy can't be created or destroyed. by extropolation it always was, always is, always will be. Further extropolation concludes that m (mass) and c2 (speed of light) also have the same qualities since they are equal to energy. Simply there has always been energy, always been mass and always been light.

If you have done any cursory reading about light you'll know that light is both partical and wave. These elements are what 'carry' information in energy streams, providing that 'connection'. Like most connections however it can be interfered with, ignored, missed, bypassed, split etc. The connection isn't as constant as you may think for that reason. A brain recieving any info from this connection has great difficulty sorting the reality or substance. A right brained individual will navigate it easier than a left brained individual because the info has no linear qualities, but a right brained individual will have a tougher time explaining it. Connundrum. (and ... sadly ...we are at full brain capacity as a species too, that's somewhat discouraging to say the least, so it appears we may never fully appreciate that connection as a real function of life.)

Cosmology is your best hope for that unifying theory buddy

hmmm I like it being the theory of everything though laugh I wonder if there is enough room in a brain for that much information.. dunno

RE: God vs. Science

thumbs up I couldn't agree more.

In the words of one well known flighty if not alien individual "I am presently mancrushing on you" laugh (in a conceptual way of course, I have no linear dispostion to that end) handshake

RE: God vs. Science

The quantity of morons singing the same tune does not equal proof. Witness the bible.. and now recent quantum theory roll eyes String theory is outdated in cosmolgy, read up.

RE: God vs. Science

agreed ... wave like dressing up as a woman giggle or maybe that just confuses others laugh

Though some folks live and die with those fantastical musings. It's merely a predominance, some people have the where withall to realize the two natures of their brain and are able to sort them out when things get 'iffy' or wishy washy, while others tend to cling to one side or the other in the face of all that life throws at them.

We need both sides of our brain and their qualities; but, we also ought to use them appropriately, in situations that call for their dominant patterns. That may be too linear for imaginative folks though.. dunno

RE: God vs. Science

buddy, friend, objectified mancrush yoda you... those links and documents were posted in response to you in other threads. Your reply to them and me was your standard " ok I'll have a look at them, but right now I'm busy doing yada yada, yada yada, yadayada."

thumbs up

RE: God vs. Science

A totally right brained god would do exactly that. Of course I am surmissing that gods would be subject to left/right brain phenomina laugh

Its not so odd that predominantly right brained (conceptual, imaginative) folk tend to be believers in faith and alledged beings, while left brain (linear, analytical) folks tend not to beleive in things that defy reason and proof. dunno

RE: God vs. Science

actually they are and the people here are proof of that, perhaps what you want to say is that you think they shouldn't co-exist; but they obviously do, because even you have a small if not mini sense of conceptual brain activity struggling in that almost totally linear brain of yours laugh

RE: God vs. Science

look up the word extrapolation and then add the disciplines of cosmology (all sciences, biology, archeology, astronomy, all of them) and you will have your answer. wine

RE: God vs. Science

You're adding conceptual emotions to my words in order to see me how you want to see me. You can do that but it is in error.

The rest of your comment is also in error. Non beleivers (at least the ones that I know) have no desire to wallow in concepts and or become attached to vague postulations and baseless assertions that involve "alledged' gods and jesuses. professor

RE: God vs. Science

Sir SF... giggle I have posted links and url's a plenty here (current scientific discoveries and more) and you have obviously either ignored them and or chosen to supplant them with your own imaginative musings, (without facts to back them up). it is you who is indeed accepting face values.

Seriously its a waste of my time to keep reposting the same documents and or links dunno

Don't get me wrong...The world needs imaginative conceptual thinkers, like you, and a few others here and even those quantum nutcakes are useful. They need them; however, not because theory is fact, and not because imagination is fact; but, because imagination and theory "leads" us to facts. Try to process this linearly please. grin

Putting the cart before the horse is one thing but trying to ride it that way is pure folly.professor

RE: God vs. Science

I know what I speak about. Just because you won't accept factual info doesn't mean others lack knowledge. You may speak for yourself and I agree you dont know anything for sure with the exception that you know you'll accept a lot of conjecture about gods and jesuses without facts. But, conceptual thinkers are like that. dunno

RE: God vs. Science

Sorry that is an erroneous statement, in fact you are stating what you know, contradicting your own statement; even if it defies actual facts. Call it ridicule if you like but feeling hurt or anger because you can't/won't accept facts/truth is not ridicule. There is a difference between actually being ridiculed and feeling ridiculed because your ego feels threatened in its beliefs. I know its problematic for conceptual thinkers but still truth is truth. roll eyes

RE: God vs. Science

more importantly, energy causes LIFE !!! professor my god

RE: God vs. Science

One more time, energy always is, always was, always will be, it cannot be destroyed or created. Therefore; there is no such thing as there being a 'nothing' to come out of, since there has always been something/energy. Energy causes bangs, supernovas, etc.

God is just a righteous Pinnochio, mental creation and still fictional.
