The lack of melatonin thing may be a catch 22 thing from not getting sunlight. It may just corelate with some other issue. Buying a drug to cure it will never replace real melatonin and may hinder the body from producing that chemical on it's own.
I do not know everything about your or Kitty01's situation, I do know that a room can become associated with a place to be awake in. Adult insominia can be caused by watching TV in the bed. From what I have read I would say that it is a cognative issue with the child, Take her to a cognitine theripist (behavior theripist (sp?)) There is certainly the posibility of chemical off balance and or diet issues. If it is determinded to be chemical then do not get a drug that requires a livetime of usage. ( at three her metabolism will change naturaly and should not require a forever drug )

You need a difernt doctor, (I'm reading at the begining of this thread , but had to coment on this ,,, Your doctor is obviously self medicating. Sure you should certainly wash the fruit but the crap on the fruit will not make her halocinate or not sleep.)
I've heard of this, but from an isolated tribe somewhere in Africa. I forget who they were but they were monkey hunters and spoke of the walking dream. I just asumed it was what we call daydreaming. Tho the mind can do some mind boggling things sometimes. I heard about a runer that was so focused that he unbenowingly ran off of a cliff.
lorax it is nice to meet another lorax. Death is caused by stress , wheather it is stress from a circus train running over a person or them dreaming of it. If you die in your sleep you may not live threw it.
I have to laugh, my father once said that there was only one person on this planet that I can trust , I expected him to say that it was him, instead he said it was my mother. ,,,,,,,Probably the only one that would say "I would not change a thing"
When i was in my teens I screwed up and my father said to me 'it is not what you did , but that you got cought' I continued to screw up but was cautious to not get cought ever again. I'm not sure if this is reasuring but I did listen to dads advice.
My youngest brother had a hard time in his teens, there was a lot of pain for everyone in the family. He has since grown up to be a good person. I am sure your child will do the same.

If you had bad nightmares I hope you have delt with the issues that caused that. If you do detail the way to do it then please also include the escape tick to the dream, sometimes they can get carried away.
A person can control their dreams, there are ways of doing that but why? We as humans screw everything else up why not let our mind do its own thing, evolution has made us a creature that can think in a complex way and our dreams try to resolve the rough edges. Comendering dreams hinders sleep and its ability to replenish.
Dreams are quite eocentrict and sometimes exciting, at the end of the night they are just dreams. Some would say they predict the future or let one live another life. My opinion is that they are just the mind doing the paperwork from the days trials. Don't get me wrong ,,,I certainly find the expresion exciting , it is true art.
Honey is an intersting substance, it never spoils or oxidises and can prevent alergy issues. The archaeoligist found honey in the old pyramids and said it would still be fine to eat though it had crystalised. I think twinkies are like that also but unlike honey they are full of MSG.

Seriously the child is breaking from the nest and will soon begin their own life. There are points in a childs life when they are ready to change, and those are times to help them on their way. It is somewhat simular to toilet training, if you catch the right point it is a much easier transition betwine stages. I realy can not say or know the proper responce for your child but would approach the situation from the perspective of treating them as an adult and helping them grow into that situation.
Let her know that at sixteen the allowance ends and she will get a job, the chores should continue untill she has a job. The law in most places has a curfew that makes you responcible for her indiference (good luck).

The Earth will survive fine. Our mother Earth has seen the demise of many life forms and certainly will out live our species. However we do not need to speed up the process of exterminating our existance ( and other creatures that deserve to continue to exist ) .

The real issue is not what Gore does but what scientist have been saying for 30 years (at least). This planet has a problem and we do not have a spare. We need a plan and not some stupid bandaid. The scientific models that i've seen do not take in concideration the compound of isues and the solutions have mostly been devised from companys wanting to make a quick buck without resolving anything.
The current best solution is to relly on alturnative fuels and do the best posible to hold the carbon footprint at bay wile progressing to solar and wind/ natural hydro generation of energy( heck every major town was founded on a water way).
