I'm not shaving my chest, i only have a meager presence there but ,,, not shaving. I shave my face and that is all unless someone worth listening to ask more from me. I doubt it is comming back like the 70's and showing it with unbuttoned shirts.

RE: Favorite band from the 80s and 90s alternative rock scene

Bingo! ( er i meam you are exactly correct )

Dennis

RE: Favorite band from the 80s and 90s alternative rock scene

The cult opened for bob dillin in i think 89 at the mary wheather post pavilion, a friend bought a pair of tickets and the girl he bought the other ticket for backed out so i went with him. We went to see the cult but got a flat tire on the way and missed the cult ,,,, bob dillon was great and either drunk or stoned (mahap both) . We both went for the cult and my friend was very unsettled that we mised them .

RE: Favorite band from the 80s and 90s alternative rock scene

WOW i thought Killing joke died years ago, it's been twenty years since i've heard someone else utter the name.

Dennis

RE: Favorite band from the 80s and 90s alternative rock scene

Did i even spell that right? i included them because they never got airplay here and i kinda like them along with the band that sung "bring on the dancing horses" (their name escapes me, it will come to me soon) they are not rock but alternative sound that has flew under the radio radar.

RE: Disruptive Children In Public

Rewarding good behavior is a very important part of disiplin also.

RE: Pills to loose weight!

A friend of mine mentioned an herbal diet pill he was taking, we looked up the 'maricle' herb on line. We found that it was somthing that never was used as a diet drug but was used in africa to settle an upset stomache, and not even proven to do that.

Dennis

RE: Pills to loose weight!

There is no magic pill, snake oil is worthless also. Crack cocain would do the trick but i would suggest keeping away from that.

Simply burn more callories than you ingest.

Dennis

RE: Disruptive Children In Public

There is a simular word, "respect" its derived from latin "resptos". In latin it means basicaly having to deal with your actions, used in a sentence : i respectos electricity by not putting my tounge in an electrical outlet.
There is a need to disaplin children and a need to let their minds to be free. But the parent should be able to pull the reigns when appropiate. The child starts pushing the parents as soon as they are born.

RE: fire

Dang! my insurance does not cover that.

Dennis

RE: The One

I have an ideal match but i'm open to other options.

Dennis

RE: Disruptive Children In Public

I was thinking duct tape.

dennis

RE: Duct Tape?

I used to do duct work and all the tape is usualy used up by the time i actualy got to the job but we have other secret toys like elgen duct sealer , duct gasket and the mighty zap strap. The general public has not been introduced to these advancesments to duct tape because they are obviously not ready to even handle duct tape properly and or safely ( hair removal problems ,,,, please ).

Dennis

RE: Duct Tape?

One of my titles is sheet metal mechanic, i worked as a duct man and we tend to just put duct tape on our cuts ( its funny that on a job site you can find an electriction by looking for the guy with electrical tape on his fingers, or the insulator by finding his tape and my friend the carpenter will probably have a nail stuck somewhere)
Well what i was getting at was i had to go to get stiches one day and the doctor said ' ya duct taped it?' as strang as it seems it did the trick untill i could get some sewing done.

Dennis

RE: Duct Tape?

It's great for paper cuts or clean cuts of the sort, dont get it in the cut however,,, a clean cut from a sharp sourse will almost heal imedatily if put it back together, glasing with glue will hold a clean cut together and keep crap out wile the cells do their job.

Dennis

RE: Duct Tape?

Supper glue was originaly designed to be a subsatute for stitches. a version of it was used in the vietnaum war as 'sergical glue'. As they say bonds to skin and that was the origional idear.

Dennis ( my spelling is bad today, sorry)

RE: Duct Tape?

I have wd40 in my medicin cabnet, but that is another thread, wd40 will also release duct tape.
Alaska is the duct tape capitol, more duct tape is sold there per capita than anywhere else and a very important note that i noticed by accident ,, duct tape conducts electricity. I learned this the knucklehead way.

RE: Old drama: Is God male or female?

I believe Sograties said that god split to become man and woman and when they come back together they become a god and can create life.

The muslem fella here Moses said somthing intersting to me a wile back. I said to him 'what if Allah said with his own mouth that.....' His reply was that we do not know if Allah speaks with his mouth, and true for god we don't know what god really looks like perhaps he looks like a ferrit and talks threw his left pinkie toe.

Dennis ( 'food for thought', comming soon;'thought for beer')
