I know this story all too well...

My Mothers family was present on the journey...

My heritage is deeply rooted in the North American Indians (cherokee tribes)

I have many realatives who where killed for so many reasons even thier lives where not considered worth any value...


It always amazes me how much the indians had to face... but yet still do not proclaim or demand what other cultures do.

Such a sad story as with so many in history... American history for me is what i know.

Chinese and Irish on the railroads.... another tragedy... so many cultures have been stepped all over... but in them also the human spirit has arisen to the occassion... and look at us today

Still Proud of being an American... Yes our past is jaded but name one nation who would taske in so many that isn't just as jaded...
and there are places even today that practice the inniquities we have bestown on others.

So we have came a long way for such a young Nation and have so far to go...
Hopefully God will Bless us and we will get back to progression instead of destruction.

I have not flirted with anyone since me and Joanne have gotten together... that i can remeber.or outside of friends that we both know and respect and who respect what we have...

I can assure you... it was not meant as a slap to anyone... it was just a simple opinoin about how it can be fun and even destructive... that is all... nothing more nothing less.

I'am sorry you took it personal... it was never ment in that way.

Flirting is fun and a good way to pass the time when you are single...

But when you have someone in your life it can cause such big problems and even go as far as to destroy a relationship...

I say have fun when you can with others...
but if you have another save the flirting just for them... it is much easier , safer, and more appreciated.

availibility would diminsh but would not dissapear.

There will always be Just as drug dealers... someone who will be around to get you what you want for a price.

Just look at Drugs... and even look at Alcohol laws... how has either of them controlled thier prospective problems.

I get propositioned many times to partake in drugs.... when i'am not seeking them they are still offered.

How would Making Guns illeagal really change things... other than take them from the hands of defenders and place them in the hands of those who will victimize the law abiding.

If someone really wanted to rob you they can do it with a machete or even a baseball bat... and can still take your life...
A gun in the hands of the one being victimized would save thier own life if the perp was intending to take a life anyway.

Just something to think about, as you watch the news and see around the world in those areas where guns are not permitted.... Death rates have lowered... i will give you that.... but violent crimes and thefts have double and even triple.

My thing...

Me and my Girls live in an area where Guns are just about in every home in the state.

Fortunately because of this knowledge, Shootings or threats of doing so have not arisen.

I really do not fear a school shooting here, predators and pedafiles are a fear...
But if anything like that was to happen to my children... anyone who would draw a gun here would have to be a pretty quick shot because it will not last long.

Even off duty police carry thier guns with them...

Where there is a fear of guns... there is a fear to act up.

Where there is a fear of guns... there is a situation for one who has a gun to victimize many.

so either way one needs to wiegh the pros and cons and vote accordingly to thier belief.

i always go back to thomas Jefferson Davis who said ... a well armed society is a polite society.

I agree...

A country is like a family... the leaders are the parents... they should set rules and punishment plus rewards and help as any loving parent would do.

If it is not good for the family... would you as a parent hurt your childrens futures or take away thier beliefs in honesty and in hard work and intellect.

To take all the child support money and go out and buy yourself high fashion clothing and exspensive cars????
Is that a good parent???

it is much more complicated but still falls to the simple fact...

Nothing like a pack of crackers a Dr.Pepper and conversation with the people of the community...

Doesn't even matter what community...
I have done in my past some exstensive traveling in the U.S.

It never failed... anytime i went into a convenient store, if someone was hanging around ... there always seemed to be good conversation as i ate my crackers and drank my soda...
