RE: Should Irish laws change to give single dads more rights to there children.

I know what you mean but because they dont want to be involved do you think it should be just left at that?

I ask because my ex husband has never had any interest in being part of our childrens lives, I could have gone to court and forced the issue but decided I didnt want my children to know that their Dad was only seeing them because a judge said he should.

Sorry to the OP if this is hijacking just that it has come up and am curious as to what ppl think.

RE: Should Irish laws change to give single dads more rights to there children.

Hi

What changes do you think should be made for theses cases?

RE: Should Irish laws change to give single dads more rights to there children.

I dont think it is as simple as 'if they dont want to be a Father' if a guy is a Farther it si a fact, he cant decide not to be, yes he should have rights he should also have responsibilty.

RE: Should Irish laws change to give single dads more rights to there children.

Yes it certainly should. Broke my heart to see the hoops my brother had to jump through to get to see his daughter. Took 2 years of back and fort to courts, was an awful time for the whole family.

The fact that a Father has no automatic rights because a couple is not married is wrong IMO

RE: Should Irish law change to give single dads more rights to there children.

Hi

perhaps you should try this poll in the Irish forums.

RE: In my Bedroom

looks deadly, break my neck falling out of it though, am used to lots of room lol

RE: In my Bedroom

Well I have a Superkingsize bed and a pretty big tv.

Have always said when the next child moves out will knock into the wall and make her room an en suite, then I will have my perfect bedroom.
