I guess with divorce being relatively new here we are used to people simply being seperated, perhaps in countries were it has been legal for a long time and is more easily accessible people see seperation differently.
As has been pointed out already in Ireland you have to be living apart for 4 years out of the previous 5 before you can apply for a divorce.
I seperated 12 years ago, didnt date for almost 2 years after that as I wasnt ready but I didnt feel married in my heart anymore at that stage and certainly wasnt putting my life on hold.
I actually only divorced last year, sadly my ex husband died last week so I am no longer married one way or the other.
I didnt have a pic up when i joined first but I did save one as an ecard on here and sent that when asked. No need to give email addresses out that way.
