The oh-so constant mixing up of “your, you’re” and “there, their, they’re”, (typed by English-as-a-first-language people), is a major pet peeve of mine!
People who come up behind you and look at your computer screen.
The UNFRIENDLY cashiers one finds in 95% of stores... even when you are smiling at them!
Cell phones. (Even had a cashier on a cell phone the other day!)
Then my own personal one... People who seem to think it's my brain that's busted and that's why I'm in this chair!
And the banter back and forth in those threads? To me, it seems a bit desperate for "I'm popular", or "look at me", attention, (from some of the posters... NOT all).
Nope. Not me. See, roses look nice for about 8 hours, IF you're lucky. Then they begin to droop and by the next day... they look kinda sad/dead. That's depressing. And I always think about the over-rated cost!
A bunch of mixed flowers... wonderful! They last way longer. And it's just as "romantic", in my opinion.
In life, people tend to put up too many of them. Ahhh, the fun side paths that are missed! And new friends are unable to get in, too. Hence, it is more difficult for "finding the love" than to climb the mountain.
I guess there is a reason this is in the "jokes and humor" threads... because the day someone just offers me 1 or 2 million dollars to do something, ANYthing, I'll sit here and laugh my noggin' off.
See, one can be very comfortable with being single. And very comfortable with chatting on dating sites. And very comfortable with meeting another who is very comfortable too. And very comfortable with a companion.
It's all in the mind, sir. It's a choice. To be comfortable and content, in whatever.
RE: A lonely place for Dieing.
It's "dying", by the way.
