DaMoose - BuzzKill Winner 2017!!

I had to scroll some distance before finding one who understood! There was no "battle", no "banning", just a definite "lull" in the forums - nobody around. I replied to several threads, nobody was around - no big deal! But it reminded me of the old "buzz-kill" jokes....I guess I should have posted some additional emoji's! Maybe a bit of misinterpretation of the term "buzzkill?"

Life is unsafe! I assure you ALL will lose eventually. Countries, ideologies...borders, boundaries, differences...at the end of the day they are all pre-conceived. We are all Homo sapiens, but a single species - granted, most species fight amongst themselves for territory, resources and dominance, but if collectively, they eventually band together, well, hell, they become a plague!

Flying a helicopter is just two feet and two hands! Are you sure that the USA would protect you as a citizen? (They would, but if you had a moments doubt, think about why that happened!) I assume you speak Anglais, Francais? Try Canada. No cash needed - we are all broke, but soon to be employed building a wall between the USA and Canada (and oh yeah....Trump and the USA will be paying for that one! )

We are not a "melting pot" - rather a really mixed up stew....the more cultures the merrier!!

Alas Lilith, I too thought he was referring to a form of musculoskeletal neuropathy. Rathjer he seems to be suffering from cranial neuropathy. Although any form of properly conducted physical exercise is beneficial to ALL, it will do little to ease the symptoms of cranial neuropathies. And no, I am no Doogie Howser MD! Nope, I watched not only Marcus Welby, but remember all too well "Doc" off of Gunsmoke! But when push comes to shove regarding medicine...I go for a gentle walk along with some proper stretching, before two bong hits, the "therapeutic" sofa and watching to ultimate in medical advice!

You speak from I what I consider to be a well-informed vantage point. It is not much different here in Canada. I too use dark humour and sarcasm....and fully support stem-cell research.

A fellow spinal neuropathy! Okay, I have some surgeons suggesting spinal surgery...what did you go under the knife for? I hear more "bad" than "good" when it comes to spinal surgery....definitely seeking opinion(S)

Okay, I should read the entire thread before commenting. I suffer from spinal neuropathy. It appears you suffer from cranial neuropathy. Has it been diagnosed to any nerve level (level palsy?) Time will be your best friend(well, for many cases). Meds, sometimes surgery...best to be discussed with a specialist. Staying healthy will also help!

Cut them some slack One....yes, in my day it was called a "dictionary"....oh wait a minute, I should explain myself to the young ones - a dictionary was a "book", okay, wait a minute - okay, a "book" was an ancient device used to communicate knowledge, and was useful for learning things, starting fires, leveling a wobbly table, propping open a door, or selling at auction for a great deal of money if it was a First Edition doorstop.

Oh yeah. Decades ago when I broke my back in a 50 foot fall, the pain incurred afterwards - well, the rural doctors in my world had no name for it. Just recently, I re-injured my back (collapsed discs and several compression fractures), and I have other "hard-play" injuries that plague me. Neuropathic pain short-changed me on my career (just recently) by several years. Pharmaceutical can ease the "rough moments". Cannabis works up to moderate pain levels, but despite the recent paranoia, opioids, be they natural or synthetic, can be beneficial when pain creeps into the realm of severe. Proper physical activity is by far the most therapeutic course of action! Then comes attitude! Keep it positive and remember, the workplace isn't always about how HARD you can physically work, but how effectively you can work within your limitations. Stephen Hawking can only "blink" at a computer screen - I hear he is doing okay. Were you awarded any disability "pension?" Explore the possibilities (but yes, pain does suck! I know that it can often times approach unbearable)! May you fare well!

Canada is in NO WAY exempted at border crossings. Some people are paranoid of terrorists, as some people still fear Germany. Please understand that the USA claiming to be the LEADER of the free-world is nothing but self-delusional rhetoric. Nice to make your acquaintance Woodstock! Hey, I don't care whether he be left or right, Republican or Democrat,...and, as someone from another country (albeit I HAVE to care what my neighbours to the south do!) he is definitely more than a half-bubble off level. I do understand why the people of the USA were seeking change, but with a third of a billion people I scratch my head wondering if Trump was the best to be found. To compare him to old Honest Abe? Even up here in Canada we have to learn some basic USA history, and although Lincoln was not perfect, he was, in his way, a TRUE ground-shaking President, and up here, the leanings were towards one of the BEST Presidents of the USA. I sit here dumbfounded as to why the House of Representatives allow this "TV ratings grab" to continue. Trump fails to understand, that as POTUS, it is all about the licorice!

I too am recently retired. Made a bit over 1K picking refundable bottles and it only cost me 1.3 K of gasoline in the truck I only have 36 more payments to go on. I just ask myself...is it a NEED or a WANT. And when you think it is a NEED...re-think....might save you a dollar or two in the long-run.
