RE: Kamala Harris for President!

How many FBI agents has Trump fired, for doing their job?

RE: Kamala Harris for President!

Preparing for another Republican loss at the polls, by dehumanizing the opposition.

With fingers crossed that the Russians can get to at least 304 members of the Electoral College, again; because there's no way Trump could ever win the popular vote in this dimension!

RE: Kamala Harris for President!

I wouldn't support someone with a name like Camel in the primaries; but if it comes down to her or tHErump, SHE'S GOT MY VOTE!

RE: Kamala Harris for President!

If Al Bundy ran against Trump, we'd all be watching, Married With Children; and our President would have normal sized figers, with his hand in his own pants.

RE: Kamala Harris for President!

That's why so many politicians are white.

RE: Kamala Harris for President!

If someone brings up a point; and you respond with accusations, that sidestep his point, but don't address his point, that's a red herring.

Herring merchant.

RE: Kamala Harris for President!

I had a llama spit on me once.

There's NO WAY I'm voting for tHErump.

RE: Kamala Harris for President!

I can't decide if this is a red herring, or a personal attack; or if it qualifies as both of them: but it's at least one of em.

RE: Kamala Harris for President!

I find myself unable to consider voting for anybody named, Kamala.

I had a llama spit on me once; and I heard camels spit too.

RE: Come to God before is too late

I found so many, I couldn't fit them all into one post.

RE: Come to God before is too late

Good is a subjective word.

That's why we say, "As good as..."

Like in, "As good as gold."

"Better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick."

Good is a relative word, without any other word to compare it to, it's meanigless.

See here? There's people who call good evil, and evil good.

Isaiah 5:20
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

There's no sense in telling any of us you have a good heart, or that you're a good person, without comparing your "goodness" to something else.

RE: Come to God before is too late

You only found few mentions of the word, Hell?

I found so many, I couldn't fit them all into one ost.

RE: Come to God before is too late

Amen.

RE: Come to God before is too late

Good is a word that lends itself to subjective interpretation.

*Before we were born, most of the English speaking wold accepted the Bible definition as being correct.

We are the children our grandparents prayed we wouldn't be.

Most of us are divorced, or from divorced families.

Our society's standard of what is good, is in decadence; and our great-great-grandparents would have us committed for our behavior on CS alone! or even killed for the opinion you posted earlier.

To get an objective definition for the word, "Good," that any English speaking person can understand, you need a reference point outside of your opinion of yourself.

*The English language evolved around The King James Bible; and, the scriptures were our ancestor's dictionary of choice.
(It's in a cool BBC/YouTube video).*

RE: Come to God before is too late

The question I asked, was meant to lead you into comparing your very own standard of righteousness, with how well, and how long you've kept it.

It's been my experience that people very rarely live up to their own professed idea of perfection.

My personal standard of perfection is high. So high, that I foften all short of it...

I think if you're honest, you'll admit, that you're not always as good person as you can be, 100% of the time: and "I have no regrets for anything I've ever done," isn't what you're claiming... right?

RE: Come to God before is too late

What is it you do that makes you feel like you're a good person?

Psalms 14:3
They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Psalms 53:3
Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Jeremiah 4:22
For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

Romans 3:12
They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

RE: Come to God before is too late

What final resolution are you seeking?

RE: to foriengers,do you feel face blind?

Is there one Chinese word that means, "Face blind?"

RE: RULES...Something to ponder...

"Learning to avoiding."

It's easier to sound like a foreign person speaking English, than it is to learn a foreign language.

RE: RULES...Something to ponder...

One finger chords, on ukuleles?

I'm trying to find someone I can teach like that.

I wanna see how much faster they can learn music starting with parallel fifths, than I did, learning to avoiding them.

RE: My pet greyhound bit me on the nose last year!!

No.

Spending so much time on CS that you've got the record number of threads, even though you've only been here a short time compared to many people here... while hoping you become a millionaire-

That's what makes you a burden on the state.

RE: Come to God before is too late

Proverbs 9:12
If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.

RE: RULES...Something to ponder...

Music is a way to communicate without words.

A language beyond rules.

I'd rather learn to express myself with music, than learn to express anybody else.

The fact that music is one of the few means of communication you can do that with, is my only reason for studying any instruments at all.

I feel so strongly about it, I never want to play music that was written by another person, unless it's accompanied by scriptures from a King James Version of The Bible; and that's been my position on it for most of my life.

RE: Come to God before is too late

He's lost.

Matthew 15:14
Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

RE: Come to God before is too late

Matthew 7:6
Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

RE: RULES...Something to ponder...

For many years I was taught music theory, ala Boston Conservatory.

My friend has a degree in classical music; so, I trusted him to know all about it.

I love the way blues guitar makes me feel; and was always trying to get a blues sound.

He was constantly putting down, "Parallel fifths."

So, for years, I avoided parallel fifths.

He'd get so upset by parallel fifths, it took me years to question him about them.

Since I only play music to accompany scriptures, the only lessons I ever took were on music theory.

I'd never put music to anything except scriptures, and want my music to be (as much as possible) an expression of what I feel, what's inside of me; so, I didn't learn other people's music; or I might've figured out sooner...

You can't play the Blues, without parallel fifths!

Once I learned that, I learned to play one finger songs, up and down the fretboard (100% parallel fifths!).

After that, I learned the chords to go with every one finger chord, so I could play the same song with different fingerings, all the way to the soundhole.

In other words, breaking the rules opened up the fretboard so much, I was able to learn more about music in a few months, than I did keeping the rules for years.

I couldn't learn how to play music that I like, until I figured out, I had to break the rules!

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Job 33:4
The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.

Acts 17:24-25 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;

Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

Isaiah 52:3
For thus saith the LORD, Ye have sold yourselves for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money.

Isaiah 55:1
Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

John 4:14
But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Revelation 22:17
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Isaiah 55:2
Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

RE: Come to God before is too late

That's a charitable assessment.

Thank you.

RE: Come to God before is too late

What does it mean to you?

RE: Come to God before is too late

For some, it's not the word of God, but the way it's delivered, that is the barrier; and as we've seen here, some people talk about the word of God, but they don't actually know what it says...

Have you actually read it?

Luke 8:11-15 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.

But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
