I think it's not limited to Australians or women. The online world has made people impatient and shallow. If you don't like what you see or don't have an attention span you just click, click, click your way to something else. It spills over to real life.
In the old days people were willing to meet. Now the only thing anyone's willing to do is evaluate your pic.
I'm one who reads profiles and I try to write a helpful profile so people can understand me rather than rate my pic.
I agree with those who wrote that the world is a world of intolerance and hatred. It's more and more difficult to find people willing to give each other a chance on their own merits.
