The one thing to keep in mind, when visiting and read articles on such a site, Cally (and Maya should make note of this, too) is that they ARE "commercial" sites! They EXIST to make money! And their "presentations" are slanted for THAT purpose! There's a LOT of "advertising" it the presentations, and how they're "worded/stated". But you need a background in language/propaganda, to pick up on most of it.
When reading, or listening to ANYTHING, it's normally good advice to consider the "agenda" of the speaker/writer. And TRUST ME, on this, a person WITHOUT an agenda, is rarer than than an intelligent/wise person!
Funny you should say that, Cally! I'm NOT ONLY a Libra, "I" have a Libra ascendant! But, as you can read, here, I'm NOT the "best liked" poster in/on the foruns! But I have a somewhat "unusual" chart. ALL my planetary influences fall in/on the left side of my chart! It's VERY "UNbalanced". And, UNlike most Libras, I've NEVER felt any "compulsion" to/for "relationships". It's NOT that I disdain relationships. I enjoy people/relationships as much as any other Libra. But I've NEVER "sacrificed" MYSELF, to/for them. I've ALWAYS, in ALL ways, been extremely independent and assertive. But then, somewhat strangely, I'm an introverted personality type, whereas most Libras are more "gregarious" personalities. And I'm NOT disposed to "mediate" relations between people/groups.
So the idea that having a Libra ascendant, makes one AUTOMATICALLY the BEST "negotiator", can be fallacious. Just a thought/comment. But then, I've had a LOT of somewhat unusual "experiences", in/during my life. As well as an unbalanced chart.
No offense meant, Lee, but I HATE this quote! I UNDERSTAND it, but it's NOT "time" that "heals". It's the person, themself, usually! And, in most cases, it's NOT "healing", it's "survival", and "getting on" with life. The saying only came about because it TAKES "time", for that healing to occur! To LEAVE the "pain" behind.
"Time heals all wounds." works BOTH ways! "Time wounds all heals!" All that saying signifies is that "time" (which is a man created figment of our imaginations, ANYWAY) continues to pass, while our lives march on.
Again, no offense meant, and I understand the sentiment being expressed, but that's a STUPID quotation!
I would use the term "permission", Contessa. I'd say "unless you allowed it". Allowing is NOT NECESSARILY "permission". Permission IMPLIES some degree of "approval".
