There are always fig trees in a lot of backyards in the farming areas where I came from, I'm not a fan of figs but I know friends who love eating them.
Wiki says (with a bit of rewording by me).....once the decision to go beyond this fabled line is made, the decision and its resulting consequences are permanently decided and irreversible.
