RE: To marry

Sag and Taurus are not a good match

RE: Tilted Heads

It's a pose sometimes contrived, sometimes unconsciously adopted to signal a non threatening approach-ability to those around. It's a submissive pose mostly used by women to attract and /or mislead men but men use it also. Lady Diana was notorious for looking sidelong with head tilt at people and cameras, basically it's a subtle way to manipulate how others perceive you.

RE: Would the World be more peaceful without as much of the USA throughout it?

TBH Hex I don't think many on CS actually know what the definition of trolling is. I see the word overused on forums etc in a completely unwarranted exchange. Some people seem to think as soon as you disagree with them you are "trolling", this is incorrect. I have posted on 1 blog and this poll, both of which the regulars ambushed me with the troll label. Go figure. I like to call these people control trolls. (Mods, ole timers, forum police etc etc) They believe their tenure as a member entitles them to some sort of power or free pass- Not to be scrutinised or opposed. It's cringe worthy.
You must be a member of the mutual admiration society to comment lol How do I join? Is there a casting couch? cool

To be, or not to be, that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take Arms against a Sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them: to die, to sleep
No more; and by a sleep, to say we end
the heart-ache, and the thousand natural shocks
that Flesh is heir to? 'Tis a consummation
devoutly to be wished. To die, to sleep,
To sleep, perchance to Dream; aye, there's the rub,
for in that sleep of death, what dreams may come,
when we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
must give us pause. There's the respect
that makes Calamity of so long life:
For who would bear the Whips and Scorns of time,
the Oppressor's wrong, the proud man's Contumely,
the pangs of despised Love, the Law’s delay,
the insolence of Office, and the spurns
that patient merit of the unworthy takes,
when he himself might his Quietus make
with a bare Bodkin? Who would these Fardels bear,
to grunt and sweat under a weary life,
but that the dread of something after death,
the undiscovered country, from whose bourn
no traveller returns, puzzles the will,
and makes us rather bear those ills we have,
than fly to others that we know not of.
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all,
and thus the native hue of Resolution
Is sicklied o'er, with the pale cast of Thought,
And enterprises of great pith and moment,
with this regard their Currents turn away,
And lose the name of Action. Soft you now,
The fair Ophelia? Nymph, in thy Orisons
Be all my sins remember'd. cool

Ok ok , we all know about the myth of Sir Walter Raleigh bringing it to Ireland, maybe I was getting turnips mixed up with the potato, call it poetic licence to accentuate a point, yanks haven't got the exclusive rights to melodrama lol Why let facts get in the way of a good story? And what's the deal with tater tots?? A crime against the spud if ever there was one! An abomination! How could america defile the glorious spud, it's treason I tell you, treason !

RE: Would the World be more peaceful without as much of the USA throughout it?

RE: Would the World be more peaceful without as much of the USA throughout it?

Sure that'll be it! the spud juice is running through your veins like Guinness, you know we even have a mutated genome, the potato chromosome lol the Irish have no problem taking on anyone bigger than themselves even if we lose, it's the quality of the scrap that matters cool

RE: Would the World be more peaceful without as much of the USA throughout it?

My core values, courage, moral compass and moral fibre are solid, sure aren't they built on 10,000 yrs of eatin potatoes, my soul is a potato too lol
Also I think it's easier to be courageous and speak up when you're not lookin to make friends or seek approval, neither of which I am burdened by. But it is a great american affliction.....seeking approval, wanting everyone to like them, which most everyone knows is an exercise in futility. cool

RE: Would the World be more peaceful without as much of the USA throughout it?

I am nothing if not eloquent Mick cool

RE: Would the World be more peaceful without as much of the USA throughout it?

Well Hex we all know too well Bush was not the most articulate man on the planets and often got his words jumbled, hard skills don't seem to matter to yanks when electing a president, it's just a popularity contest and has nothing to do with democracy.

RE: Would the World be more peaceful without as much of the USA throughout it?

RE: Would the World be more peaceful without as much of the USA throughout it?

The Irish love a good scrap cool Winding people up is our specialty. We do it with charm, finesse and style, that's why we're so adorable.

RE: Would the World be more peaceful without as much of the USA throughout it?

Exactly Mick, it's kinda funny how the yanks here are pissin and moaning about "babysitting the world" and sacrificing themselves on the battlefield, when in actuality they have been manipulated into the situation by their own government - their economy is relying on wars, the arms industry, from all munitions of war, heavy artillery, gunships, down to body armour and bullets, sunglasses, waterbottles and every conceivable peripheral and sundry item is keeping the US ticking over.
If they were to halt all actions and engagements right now, trillions would be lost in revenue and the army generals and military would in effect have no jobs, no one to fight, and we all know these megalomaniac Generals live for war and the "corps", all related industries would collapse, unemployment figures would sky rocket. The trickle down effect would be colossal.
It is patently obvious the rest of the world doesn't want them in situ, which has been expressed here on this poll also, yet they still believe they are doing the world a favour? They are doing themselves a favour by creating a 'need' for the industries surrounding war. cool It's capitalism at it's worst.

RE: Would the World be more peaceful without as much of the USA throughout it?

cool Yup, they need a personality adjustment for sure, devoid of any grit, nuance or grace. A repulsive bunch mostlybarf

RE: Would the World be more peaceful without as much of the USA throughout it?

RE: Would the World be more peaceful without as much of the USA throughout it?

I completely and utterly agree !! The US has turned into a maniacal, neurotic, cesspit of a country. It's outta control, like some jacked up brain damaged bully on steroids with something to prove. It's a lost cause, or maybe not if the marches by the young people this week mean anything, there maybe a glimmer of hope for it still. But time is running out, They need to sack their government and do a self assessment urgently.

RE: Who are the most boring race in the world?
