RE: UK: Explosions at Ariana Grande concert

This has always been the British way. To forget the last 50/60/70 years and re-fashion the idea of a nobler and more prosperous time long ago. The future is based on the past in Britain and in hard times it's always been this way.

RE: UK: Explosions at Ariana Grande concert

I am sad. But I express my sadness through the veins in my forehead.

RE: UK: Explosions at Ariana Grande concert

We need a big fight. All our years of peace and comfort have turned our elders into infants. There are no elders here. This is what it's all been building to.

RE: is money the root of all love?

In reality it is the love of indifference which is the root of all evil

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

RE: is money the root of all love?

I would go as far as to say that money is the opposite of love. Not as in hatred, but indifference. Transactional, impersonal and cold - the nature of money is in total opposition to the nature of love. It's just business. Love and money, but not the love of money, are what make the world go round.

RE: is money the root of all love?

No, but it may buy you a reasonable simulation.

RE: Suppose you won a jackpot of your nation's national lottery

Of course how else would I rub it in your face?

And I'll also have presents for you all, won't I.. a humiliating £103 each. 80 for Pedro he has enough handouts.

RE: The universe, or the cosmos, has already preselected your soul mate

There are more things there than there are actual things you can see with your eyes. Not to tempt fate, but in your next relationship I think everything will be totally great forever.

RE: Think I am going to lay low for a couple of days

Don't be scared mate. Or if you are scared, do be scared, it's perfectly natural to be scared. And did I ever mention what a great guy I think you are? No? Well I'm not going to because I won't treat you any differently to how I did before.

RE: Are you glad you were a child before technology took over

I grew up stimulated by Tekken that picture looks like suffering to me.

RE: Do you feel safe...

And they put monkeys in space, one day we might even have a woman driving a fire engine.

RE: Do you feel safe...

Yes mate. The planes can fly themselves. Don't you think they made sure of that?

RE: Why Macron won

But then again I'm not a woman am I. I dont feel tingly and wet when I'm in the defensive crouch beneath the higher power. Humbled is not my cup of tea if I'm honest.

RE: Why Macron won

Says lucifer's disciple. Apart from some people grovelling low before him, how in the world does Donald Trump cultivate humility? It's "up yourself" even by American standards.

RE: Why Macron won

Sophisticrat and progressive tho he was, it's Donald Trump who he sounds like.

RE: Why Macron won

It's true, the sophisticrats can only push society so far away from the natural order and all the while there's a tension building where everything may snap back upon itself. Now early sophisticrats understood the limits of social consciousness - FDR knew how to speak to his American public and how far to go - latter-stage sophisticrats glorify education for its own sake, credentials become a bubble, and the people are no longer the main focus of attention.
