dont think the grass is greenr on the other side cos i can assure you it aint. I have lived in germany for over 30 years now and i will stay here. But having said that the cost of living is in some respects a lot less than in the uk and in other areas its a lot more expensive bit if swings and roundabouts sort of thing. The comment from phoenix was somewhat misleading about berlin, that is the capital of germany and also the political centre so yeah its gonna be more expensive. Same as london is more expensive than say halifax or manchester. In all european countries there are sickness insurance but you get treatment without elbow long waiting lists not like in england. so yeah all in all one is better off in mainland europe than in the uk. It's simple for me, gussi admitted here he took fun of people like me while he did his tour of the northern most eastern parts of Ireland....And for the life of me I don't understand how someone can admit in holding a fully loaded weapon at 16 yrs olds is fun
ok folks once more slow enough to write it down:
i did not say it was fun holding a loaded firearm at 16 or 17 year old kids, who were, to quote Monsieur Phoenix "going about their lives" in fact as i mentioned on the other thread. i didnt want to be there and neither did others. but that is something you maybe wouldnt know about. If either of those two lads had opened fire on me with the ak47 they had with them or even twitched yes then i would have shot them. but i wouldnt have enjoyed it. If either of you wish to dismantle a harmless comment like "yeah it was fun" then be my guest.
Ive been living here on and off for 34 years and still cant speak it. German that is. so you have no chance to learn anything in 2 weeks prior to comming here.
Aircraft that fly into the ground on final, have small debrie fields. They are intact when they impact. The report I am reading is saying they got pieces all over the forest
that isnt correct, when one of those comees in it spreads itself all over the neighbouthood. the report is correct it is spread all over the neighbourhood and it burst into flames when it hit.
My flying instructor did say to me 35 years ago, a landing is nothing more than a controlled crash.
some years ago an auntie of mine dyed her her black, only thing is she washed it out too soon and ended up with bluey purple coloured hair. She wore that colour for many many years.
