I love diversity. I am myself mixed of many cultures and have lived in another country. I love the mixture of life, period. Any interracial prospect is welcome.
Well if WE are the ones leaving OUR partners, I'm pretty sure we're not shocked! Now if it's the other way around, that might cause some shock. I just left mine after 2 years. No, I wasn't shocked and frankly I don't thing he was either. I kept telling him and warning him, so at this point there is no surprise. He just thinks I'm mad and will get over it soon. Not this time. We all have our limits and I reached mine. THAT is the shock to HIM! lol
Well.........the man I'm dating and completely in love with IS 10 years younger. Not a problem. I got over it, and it's never been an issue for HIM. Don't you just love it when a plan comes together???? lol

"Okay then," said Fred, and he proceeded to drop his trousers, revealing the tiniest 'thingy' the nurse had ever seen. Length and width, it couldn't have been bigger than a AAA battery. Unable to control herself, the nurse started giggling, then fell to the floor laughing. Ten minutes later she was able to struggle to her feet and regain her composure.
"I am so sorry," she said. "I don't know what came over me. On my honor as a nurse and a lady, I promise it won't happen again. Now, tell me, what seems to be the problem?"
I have been on CS for about 5 years or so, maybe longer. I enjoy the many friends I have made here. I don't come on here looking or expecting anything. Great friendships have started and ended here. Some left, some found their life partner here, and some just went away in the wind. Very few from when I joined are still here. I enjoy it. Nothing more, nothing less.
This brought me great joy in reading and although I have nyquil in my system and am quite groggy...I wanted to reply.
We all have those boxes. The dust does collect around them. Blowing off the dust and opening it, regardless if it's empty or not, is still opening the box. Filling it again is another story. Only you can fill it up. Whether it be with new memories, new adventures, or new feelings. It sounds as if you have done the same thing many of us have...we decided the box was no longer worth opening.
Forgiving someone, forgetting someone, and getting over what the "once was" and the "what should have been" and going on is the strength that no one gives us, we find it inside.
Each of my "boxes" represent a relationship. Some were good. Some were bad. Some I'd like to burn. Some I have burned. Going on to find someone with whom you have a good relationship with now, is a blessing.
Sometimes I use the boxes I have...to stand them up on top of each other.........so I can reach the bigger box....the one I'm supposed to open. The one I'm supposed to treasure. It's my treasure box.
Well put!!! Since my oldest son is almost 27....that kinda limits the playing field. I can see it now...."here son..meet your new Step daddy....he can't form complete sentences yet...but we'll get him through his Sr. year just fine".
