In todays world there is very little acceptance or defence for the prophets behaviour although this example is still practiced in some countries. It was common practice in the 600s. Fortunately the adoption of common law in most countries prevents child marriages as well as bigamy. Interestingly enough a recent case in Canada had Warren Jeffs at the superior court fighting charges of marrying multiple women one as young as twelve. His is an offshoot of the Mormon religion and his defence is that it is within his religious rights. He is now in jail for twenty years. Maybe he took a leaf out of the prophets book.
Your poll is misleading. British is a nationality and Muslim is a religion. If you ask me if I can be British and Pakistani the answer is probably yes. If you ask can you be Catholic and Muslim the answer is probably no. The British constitution protects the rights of all it's citizens to practice any religion they choose.
I would say what both partners enjoy about each other. What turns them on. Sometimes it's wealth which is not physical but can be most desirable to some.
However I do recognize insults when they are levelled at me. Constructive comments are beyond the ability of some hence the vitriol. But thanks for the insight.
A vast majority of the female profile pictures that I see on Connecting Singles show the head and shoulders and sometimes a full frontal of the person of interest. Rarely do you get to see the profile view of a potential partner. I don't know about you lot but I am still attracted to the female form and I cannot get that excited about head and shoulder shots, although it's a great place to start. I can understand that women may not be comfortable with exhibiting their shape and some may be quite self-conscious but I think male desire is still embedded in his DNA regarding what he is looking for in a partner and physical form comes into it. I apologise to the ladies out their if I am being shallow. Any comments?
