For better or worse luck is not what you deserve. But I would distinguish luck from privilege, your parents making a better life for their kids is not quite the same thing as you being lucky. Quite often easy to take the ones you love for granted so I would say yes. Familiarity breeds contempt a certain, albeit temporary, preoccupation with the things I don't like about you and how I wish you were different. It's just a thought as we don't actually know what someone's been through and some people get all the help and other people get none. In the first world those who don't have any real problems are still in the majority, but we want to hear the words "deal with it" from someone who has dealt with worse. Marie Antoinette said deal with it and how did she cope with that guillotine? Not well.
I don't know. It's more general than that - assuming things about people I know nothing about. The complete stranger will be intelligent, will not be a bad person and so on. Basically projecting myself onto the unknown.
