How many parents set high goals for their children when it comes to their education?
If you have an advanced child would you give them every possible learning tool to help excel in all subjects including foregin language. Why do you not want your child to learn another language?
Church should be a place where people can build a close relationship with God. It should encourage people of the community to be there make it a place people look forward to going because of what they learn and the encouragement they recieve and the comfort they feel.
It should not be like going to prison If you join the church you are here no matter what with not quesitons or commets on anything we tell you.
This is not the way to bring lost souls to christ to live with him in heaven forever.
I have been a single mother for 6 yrs now and it is great because me and my little one have a close relationship. I would just like someone to share the ups and downs of life. It would be nice if someone was around to help her see that not all MEN are jerks and run from hard decisions.
I dont understand why some friends wont leave their past lives along when they know that they will never have the opptunity for success unless they leave what is from the past in the past. There comes a time when you have to stop depending on your parents and friends to keep you out of trouble take care of your self and your kids like a grown up stop acting 16 ten years later.
How many people in here have friends that you have grown up with? You still see and talk to weekly.
How is it that you have grown up into the mature adult but all of your friends have still not figured out how to. They are still bar hopping staying out to all hours of the night cant hold a job and still think its funny if the cops catch them.
Many members from the church have already tried to question the leadership of the church especially our older members and they were told that if they did not like it they could leave.
The leadership is saying they are folowing God's rules.
I have been searching online quite a bit today and every time I search God's law the Ten Commandments come up but nothing comes up about taking away memeber ship because you dont make it to every serverice/gathering.
We have a lot of people in our church that have jobs that sometimes require us to miss a service and to know that my church has decided to start kicking people out because they are trying to provide for their families I take offense.
Chuch was created as a way to encourge people to come and worship together as a celebration of God's never ending love and the promise he made to us when we live for him. This just goes against so many chirstian values of ministry that promote love and support.
Here are some new rules that some local churches have come up with.
The first time you miss a service you recieve a card in the mail.
The second time you miss a service you recieve a phone call.
The thrid time you miss a service you recieve a visit from someone on the church staff.
The fourth time you miss a service their is a report written up and you have to explain your absence to the church leadership.
This is something new that has come up with the smaller churches in my area. So far all it has done is created the start of a split with in the church members are leaving the elderly are complaining that this is not the way to reach out to those that we are trying to witness to.
I guess I am really bad I have been known to change clothes while driving. People never could understand how I always managed to change from my uniform to casual clothes before we met up in town after work.
Its the reality of being a single mom. There are many of us out there its the men who are not mature enough to handle adulthood and accepting a woman for being such a great mother. I have actually heard many men make the statement"I dont know if I could ever care for another man's child".
I agree both parents need to be a part of the childs life. The problem is 90% of the time in todays world only one parent has anything to do with the child. My ex signed full custody over to me signed his rights as a father away he straight up walked out and never looked back until his new little wife found out by accident he had a daughter. He and his cousin let is slip his new wife wanted more to do with my little one then he ever did.
I found out with in a few months of our divorce being final he was already married again I have no idea if he has any children with her. His new wife has called wanting to see my little girl but not her dad. I left it with a when my daughter and your husband want to see each other he and I will talk to our daughter. I have still yet to hear from them again so far it has been 5 1/2 years.
SweetKim I am dealing with these same questions. I have decided to let my little one tell me when she is ready to talk to her dad. We have talked about why he is not around. I have learned that you can still be the better parent if you always try to find the most positive thing about the other even if they were abusive and left with no reason. Their must have been some reason why you two were together and a few happy memories at some point the in the relationship. Remember the one thing that a child desires more then anything is the feeling of always being loved.
If your child still wants more then it may be time you give them more. The child will be more likly to be bitter at you if you always tell them what a dead beat dad he was he never wanted you or the worst I FORBID you to ever see him.
It is hard being a single mother weather you have 1 child or more. Yeah it sucks when fathers abandond their children but one thing I have realized about it. You are the child's only influnce. One day when he is grown and realizes that he had a bastered for a father he will thank you for being there for him providing enough love for him that he never felt left out growing up with children who have two parents. Remember it will make the biggest impact in his life the more love you show him. Always try to provide a postive enviroment for him this will always make a big impact in making sure he does not grow up like his father.
I was given the keys Once I got in the golf cart I realized I didn’t know how to start it, so I phoned a friend and she let me know that to start it I needed to hold down the “go” pedal while cranking the cart. When I did that; I didn’t realize I was supposed to let off the “go” pedal and the golf cart lurched forward over the curb and hit the bush/tree that was directly ahead of it. I decided to park the cart and proceeded to WALK decided it was less dangerous.

I agree with this statement 100% Men today are to weak to be there for a single mother. Men today have not been taught a woman's worth, family values, how to love.
It is better for woman to be alone then to be with a weak man.
This site is a joke when it comes to dating and helping people find one anoter. Men dont really want a stong independent woman It is really hard being a young attractive woman that was raised with old fashion values such as love honer and respect and trust. It is impossible to find a man with one of these much less all of the qualities.
I have a friend that this really happened to and he walked in the house picked up the lady and sat her on the poarch in nothing but a sheet. The guy he threw off the deck outside the bedroom.
when I went to check my mail and to see who has viewed my profile 70 to 80% of the men were 30 + years older then me. I had rather date men that are older then me but I prefer not to date any of them no more then 10-12 years at the most.
