REMEMBER ME?

Thank you so much. It's been so long since we've both been on CS but there are still a few faces we recognise so we just had to share our news with those guys - as well as anyone else who may happen to take interest. I forgot how nice the majority of people here are - and I meant what I said about americans ;)

REMEMBER ME?

Thanks Konigsberg. I remember you ;)

REMEMBER ME?

She's very satisfied. It's been her strength that's carried me through this long & picked me up when I've been down over the years. She's an incredible woman and all I can say is - you guys REALLY missed out on this one when she was single on CS, lol. ;)

REMEMBER ME?

I thought I already did but it surely never saved. Thanks for the reminder ;)

RE: americans full of them selves

I have to reply to this one. I'm a Scotsman in America just now (NY), Came over here to meet and marry my American sweetheart that I met on CS 4 years ago. The people in this particular part are very down to earth, some struggling with unemployment and would still give you the shirt of their back. I go home to Scotland in a few days but will leave with VERY fond memories of America and it's people. (except one loud mouth on the plane on the way here but I like to think of him as the minority - and we all have them)

REMEMBER ME?

Thanks mate. I guess we should send a little thank you to CS too, lol

REMEMBER ME?

Thank you. She knows how special she is. Never in my wildest dreams did I think this would be happening when we first chatted in CS but I do hope our success acts as some encouragement for anyone currently in the predicament we were in all those years ago. I know we both had our doubts at times but we never let go of the dream.

REMEMBER ME?

Thank you Rider4u. It's taken a long time. Longer than most relationships would have withstood, particularly under the circumstances & getting her back to Scotland will pose it's own problems but hopefully won't take too long to sort out :)

REMEMBER ME?

The witty scotsman who always dreamed of waking up next to a woman with an awesome American accent? Just thought I'd stop by and share my joy with those who do remember me. I met my dream woman (Tryandcatchme) right here on CS 4 years ago and despite the challenges the big pond between us creates, we married on the 11th Feb. Just proves that love, with the added ingredients of patience can conquer all :)

RE: Smoking should be banned in all public places

i'm not getting upset i assure you. yes, i attempted a deal but since you don't drive you have nothing to bargain with. i just don't understand why people would rather i stop smoking than stop driving that's allconfused

RE: Smoking should be banned in all public places

see this is what i just can't seem to grasp. people would rather i stopped smoking than stopped DRIVING even though my car pollutes the air more. btw, yes, i will stop smoking eventually but right now i don't believe my smoking (which is mostly done alone or outside) is causing ANYONE any harm.

RE: Smoking should be banned in all public places

at last. some commonsense. applause

RE: Smoking should be banned in all public places

yes i drive - and i smoke. sue metongue

RE: Smoking should be banned in all public places

you're right there are double standards - on the non smokers part. on one hand they complain about small amounts of smoke exhaled by smokers but they think it's ok to drive big cars and pollute the atmosphere with fumes far more dangerous than cigarette smoke. you stop driving and i'll stop smoking. deal?

RE: Smoking should be banned in all public places

is it just me who thinks non smokers are always quick to point the finger at those who do smoke? surely exhaust smoke and fumes are far more harmful than the odd whiff of someone elses ciggy but it's ok for the non smoker to jump in their 4x4 (no, i'm not suggesting every non smoker has a 4x4) and spew their toxins into the atmosphere. am i alone in thinking the smoker gets a pretty raw deal?

RE: 2 fuel related tidbits for you

we have a queen therefore we ARE subjects. as for the government, i don't believe we're afraid per se but they have the power to do what they want - and they DO WHATEVER THEY WANT! it's the same the world over. maggie thatcher laid the foundations when she came to power 30 years ago and today the uk is very much a police/nanny state whether we like it or not.

RE: what about Mama

there ya go son. there's a nice hair dryer and a toaster to play with at bath time uh oh
