I do feel online can be a more heightened version of the person in real life...i do flirt but not as much as i would here....be that right or wrong.
No i dont see what you wrote as a personal attack but maybe you could provide me with an example of a time where i have made you feel uncomfortable through my flirting...and do you feel it was all initiated and continued by me or was i simply forcing the other to do it....im not saying this in a smart way but rather a way of learning about my interactions here and how they r viewed.
Same here, DF. I dont set out to hurt anyone....its all playful banter....and unless i have specifically said to you 'i want to take it further' ...then i feel thats all it should be taken as...is playful banter....but realise now some are more sensitive to it than others.
I have also thought the same thing for a long time. That there are people here with multiple profiles....their dominant one being the 'perfect' poster.....the other one being the one where they say what they really want to say.
Wonder do they have split personalities in real life too.
Exactly Rainbow.....its meant to be fun... I dont think some people even realise that they flirt themselves at times with others.... Its all about perception and how we all view it too...some many feel one flirts and they themselves dont feel they have.
Flirting when your are single and entitled to do so is not a bad thing. One would assume people reign it in when in a relationship and show respect to their partner. Im not half aa flirty in real life as i am here...so no i dont think we r all 100% the same as our online realities.
I agree that some can take it to mean an intent and thats where the problems arise and people need to thread cautiously.
But for me once in a relationship im so not the type to flirt with others...i keep it for him.
Well reading the posts on here it seems leaning more to the dont flirt with just about anyone....i still feel theres nothing wrong once both r single...both know that the intent is just harmless fun etc...but some see it as a bad sign of character to do so.
So i guess just be careful in your dealings online

Is flirting seen as a negative quality??
I havnt said anyone was wrong to say flirting is not nice, no more than you have said its wrong to flirt....Maybe your picking me up wrong.
