One time when my kitchen sink had plugged up I had to use one of my sons old plastic baby bottles for a plunger. By placing the bottle in the drain of the sink and letting the water run and after a few minutes the water went down the drain.
I view myself as a "handy woman".I can do some plumbing, carpentry, laying tiles/carpeting.I put in a window where there wasn't one. I had to explain to a man not to many months ago on how to repair a hing on his inside door when the screws continued to come lose by using suggesting that he used wood glue and toothpicks so the screws had something to bite into.
In the beginning my childhood went pretty well up until I was 9 years old then my childhood went downhill.Nothing that any child should have to experience in his or her lifetime. Not going into those issues.
I remember though when my late mother would tell me on how I once dunked one of our baby kittens in the toilet bowl to give it a bath.I used to watch my late mother and father give our dogs that we had lots of baths so I figured he kitten would enjoy too. When my mother watched as I had dunked that kitten inside the toilet water it was squirming to get free. When I got scratched by one of it;s sharp nails I let go of it.My mother gave me a good chewing out and sent me to my room.I looked back at her and said that all I wanted to do was do what I had seen her and my father do many times in regards to giving our dogs a bath.
Then still as a kid I was a Tomboy so to speak by climbing trees, jumping robe, hide and seek and such.I remember climbing the huge tree out behind our home and slipped on a piece of wire which I still have the 3 inch scar from.
I also remember cutting my own hair of which my mother wanted to shoot me cause I had cut my hair so so short that it appeared I had been scalped.lol
