RE: Say Anything

No I have not seen one up close as a adult but not going to say that I didn't see one when I was a child.
Knowing on how my late parents had placed a emphasis on being around nature I'm almost positive that I saw a buffalo.
Yes if it had been as you say a grizzly he could've been lunch.

RE: Say Anything

I was really surprised that the bison didn't gore him.According to the man who spoke on Skype say that bison could've thrown that guy high up in the trees.

RE: Say Anything

I posted this in the blogs yesterday in regards to the buffalo/bison.What a idiot the guy was.I read where he had caused some havoc in a couple other parks.

No way would I ever agree to meet in private whether it be from CS or in real time.I would make it perfectly clear to meet them in a public place or I wouldn't meet them at all.

RE: Say Anything

If all of us women are all different then why are we all painted with the very same brush?

RE: Say Anything

Sometimes the love of your life comes after the mistake of your life.

We all make mistakes. Life is a collection of lessons, good and bad. Some of the best love comes when you’ve gone through the worst love first. It’s there to make up for all the pain and hurt we felt. Cherish it.

RE: What is your pet peeve?

Foul language that some people use nowadays grosses me out.

RE: Ladies, what perfume works for you?

I can't use laundry detergent with any kind of perfumes in them or soap nor wear any kind of perfume cause of my skin being so sensitive.I just take a bath in plain soap and water. All people do is the clean smell of my body and after shower powder which has no perfume in it.

RE: Joy to the World !

Found this information about the song.Interesting.

Strange enough, apparently the song was INTENDED to be 'nonsensical'. According to wikipedia, "Axton [the song writer] wanted to convince his record producers to record a new melody he had written and the producers asked him to sing anything for words. He sat down and put these words to the tune."

Now, either I am simply over-analyzing the song [which is a silly proposition =)] or Axton was more musically inclined than the site credits him for. If you read the lyrics and listen to how they are projected, you can't possible believe it was written to accompany the melody. It has so much passion; you can really understand and relate to the 'hippie' idea whether you experienced during the time period or not.

The song was released in 1974 during the epidemy of the 'Hippie Era' during the Vietnam War . Ironically, the original band was active from 1968 to 1975; obviously the war very much influenced the band.

What I love most about the song is how it is delivered... any song can have good lyrics but if it is sang without emotion, it is essentially meaningless. I love this song because you can feel the energy of the band, and it's a wholelotta fun. =D

...About the religious references... it's an interesting perspective. I realized that Jeremiah was a significant figure in the bible [although I highly doubt he was a 'bullfrog' ;)], but I never connected the 'king of the world' to 'god'. I don't believe that the bands' objective was religious, but it's a neat theory.

...now I'm feeling silly for all of this analyzation. The song really speaks for itself =)

"Joy to the fishes in the deep blue sea, joy to you and me" --love it!
