RE: Armed teachers

The link works for me. Do you know how to cut and paste? BTW the Rob and Molly were the ones making him a victim. But he did resign. Once you get the facts you'll see what a xxx you've been. Try Google.

RE: Armed teachers

Here read it in an Aussie paper. Then decide if you still think Scot Peterson is a victim. be sure and read to the end.

RE: Armed teachers

Just go back and read post 29. Scot Peterson was a security guard on duty at the school. He was paid $75k a year to protect the kids. Get your facts straight and then come back and chime in.

Not a one of your links are from a reliable news source, except perhaps the Guardian but it just shows there was tension which cuts both ways. You don't live here or know what it is like to live here. There is plenty of blame to go around and people have been bad to each other since the dawn of time, including in Britain and your country. If you want to go around feeling feeling guilty go ahead be my guest. Me? I take responsibility for my own sins and not the sins of my fathers, so to speak. But I'm going to defend myself and my family if the needs arises and I don't really care who like it or not. That's just the way it is.

RE: Armed teachers

Just spent the last 5 minutes on Google looking for busing riots in 1967. I only found this and the dates don't jive got a link for us?

: Boston busing desegregation
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Birmingham Campaign
Part of the Civil Rights Movement
Date 1974–1988
Location Boston, Massachusetts
Caused by Desegregation busing
The desegregation of Boston public schools (1974–1988) was a period in which the Boston Public Schools were under court control to desegregate through a system of busing students. The call for desegregation and the first years of its implementation led to a series of racial protests and riots that brought national attention, particularly from 1974 to 1976. In response to the Massachusetts legislature's enactment of the 1965 Racial Imbalance Act, which ordered the state's public schools to desegregate, W. Arthur Garrity Jr. of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts laid out a plan for compulsory busing of students between predominantly white and black areas of the city. The hard control of the desegregation plan lasted for over a decade. It influenced Boston politics and contributed to demographic shifts of Boston's school-age population, leading to a decline of public-school enrollment and white flight to the suburbs. Full control of the desegregation plan was transferred to the Boston School Committee in 1988; in 2013 the busing system was replaced by one with dramatically reduced busing.

War is horrible and I don't mean to question your bravery but to call American fighting men idiots is beyond the pale. And then the gutless hippies were spitting on the troops when they returned home.Anyway you need to reaad a little more about this guy. A coward is a coward and a hero was needed.

RE: Armed teachers

Sorry you don't have any respect for the brave American men who answer the call of duty from this country, as I did. But he was the school's security guard not a state trooper. What do you think he job was if not to protect the kids?

A guilty conscience I guess.

RE: Armed teachers

And let me add that I'm not sure what old shaking Scot was packing, but it was probably a semi just like the shooter. An AR15 is not a fully automatic and if the security guard can't use his gun then what is he doing on the job. No wonder he resigned in disgrace.

Deedee it is better to seek professional help if you suffer from it. It's not really effective to self medicate. And it's not really something you should be joking about. And in most cases it doesn't really go away on its own I'm sorry to say.

I wasn't making light of it Marlin....no matter what Jac and deeDee try to say. I've suffered from it some myself and my mother had a severe problem. But when people start posting they wish they had been or aborted, or there brothers and sister would have been better off if they had been aborted that is huge red flag for me...... that there are some problems there. And yes they can be helped by medication. Thanks for posting. sad flower

With all due respect between you, 2intrigued, and trach I'm beginning to think there is a serious shortage of anti-depressants in Canada. And my mother suffered from depression so I'm not making light of it. I just read an article yesterday where it stated at least 1,000,000 more Brits need to be on them. All these problems in all the Camelot countries.sigh
